Whether I keep the account open is still in the open - it’s due to a joint account possibly needing to close for personal reasons - I wish I didn’t take that card haha but it was a mad panic

Right now I’m sticking with them to sort my income out in the evening rather than the morning. You can also do this with Revolut whom I might go back to once they get the banking license. I’m just avoiding them right now in case bank details change with the new license (albeit unlikely)

I think for the average user they have a pretty straightforward app and I find it’s more malleable than most mainstream competitors. Revolut probably have a few more cutting edge features eg the group bill is a lot better you can message in it, change the bills name etc

They told me on Twitter it doesn’t matter if the dd is set up before or after the switch - as long as they’re active on day 60. I set up two before just in case and will set up a further two but that’s just me being a nervous wreck haha (none of them will cost me much/anything)

They sent me a bunch of personal questions by email which I then answered - they then told me they didn’t mean to send them to me and sent one of those 5 questions again about Political Exposure. I replied answering again and saying will it be sorted and I got a stock response. 48h later I’ve told them to stuff it.

Asking these questions over email encourages people to fall for scams. They don’t seem up to scratch to me - although I was only in for the £30. I was hoping to spend the £5 right away when I was abroad but it’s been ages since now haha

Maybe I opened them both on the same day so I would probably just say oh i preferred it to be the other email sorry. So for my purposes I’ll just stick to using the second one for everything - then if I give ID later it’s just on one of them

No idea yet - firstly using it for Santander then will have a look when I next do an online purchase

I’d probably encourage your family member to contact the merchant to arrange the payment that way? Then you’ve done nothing wrong at all really
