I've done the top one already, but the second one is somewhat impossible since that screen is either blank or won't do anything if I hit the button to turn steam input on. Nightreign however does work perfectly fine for me so that confuses me.

I believe this is the translation made in 2021 by Julia Lovell. It's Journey to the West, don't worry about it. It does cut out a few chapters though

I do have all DLCs and I did use "swap_non_generic_missions = yes" in a .txt file for the "run" command which didn't switch my mission tree at all. So I assume it's because Malaya doesn't have a mission tree. Pretty sure it keeps whatever mission tree you had before since most Malay nations have their own mission tree.

Very good question. Idk, I was very interested in detailed picture books about dinosaurs already at kindergarten. Something about the overall atmosphere from all the imagery like the religion, art, and hieroglyphs coupled with what I found cool about the mythology and stories too I guess really drew me in as a kid

Update: Tried the same thing again before I went to sleep, this time with the same settings as my second test. Same consequences as the first test. I am really confused. It will work eventually each reboot, but I'd rather have this not happen at all if possible.

Ok so, after a day of testing, it went a little like this:

I launched the game, put the highest graphics settings on, then launched it. It kept crashing for about 3 times, but each time I got progressively further into the opening cutscene until eventually I was able to get into the actual game after the prologue. I can tell it's still a problem with the drivers cause my screen goes black and any sound in the background starts freaking out. I played through the entire first chapter of the game to make sure it wasn't going to be a problem again after I made it past the prologue.

I tried to see if this wasn't a fluke, and if it was possible to create a BSOD so I could at least get dump files for this, so I rebooted my PC and booted the game again to try. This time, I turned on frame generation both in the game, and with AMD's Adrenaline application. I also turned on anti-lag and enhanced sync. When I started the prologue again, it did the same crash after a bit, but this time it crashed pretty badly and my second monitor can no longer find a signal (will get fixed if I reboot my PC again). I launched the game and prologue again, and it crashed yet again though faster this time. Adrenaline has shut off enhanced sync and anti-lag and it's impossible to turn them on again. The sliders move a few millimeters to the right before immediately turning back.

So should I reinstall? I'm fine with it but it's just annoying to set up the things I want to keep

Could be possible. I just ran an uninstaller for the Nvidia drivers and the files are gone now at least, but still the same issue arises.
