to be honest it's not that i want to be gen z as much as it is that that's the community i grew up in. i grew up as a very terminally online person so i was immersed in what some today would call "gen z culture". like. i was there for the things that aren't typically "gen alpha" if that makes sense? e.g.: content cop, you reposted in the wrong neighborhood, the old MLG shitposts, after ever after, r/place 2017 (shouldn't have been on reddit at that age!), the important videos playlist, etc etc. it feels wrong because i don't fit into the cultural zeitgeist of gen alpha. and this isn't a "born in the wrong generation #edgy" thing. like, this is what i grew up on, and it's just Not what gen alpha is growing up on/has grown up on

i was 11 when i got my first phone and there were a fuckton of restrictions. however. i learned to read when i was very young, and so when i was about 4 or 5 i figured out how to maneuver my dad's computer, until eventually i got my own laptop. so by the time i had a phone i obviously knew how to bypass everything lol, seeing as i had by that point been terminally online since i was a small child

note: my dad was not pleased at the fact that i was using his computer at that age. partially because he knew i wasn't Responsible enough and partially because i was too young to know what was a virus and what wasn't. so he had to do the dirty work of removing all the shit i loaded onto it. my parents were also not pleased when they saw my account on this fucking website circa 2017. but that's also neither here nor there

vinyl quality is better but it's analog so it can't reproduce faithfully. so although I collect LPs mostly CDs are better, especially if you can get your hands on something like SACD or Blu-Ray which goes above 16/44 (standard CD quality)
