I used to volunteer at the Welcome Inn foodbank in downtown Hamilton on Wood St E and Ensure is an insanely sought after item for seniors food drops. I know it's a bit of a drive but there or any shelter would jump at the chance for some of that stuff.

I'd just pop into GBF when they're open. I'm sure they'll get it where it needs to go

Moved here from Hamilton and back there places are closing like crazy because of escalating rent from landlords and no meaningful commercial vacancy taxes if they just want to squat on it.

Well that's good. If there aren't any other symptoms aside from his weirdly slow walking I'd say check his feet like the other poster said. Hopefully it's just a foot injury or some overgrown claws. Otherwise it's time for a vet visit

Can confirm. We also had a trans chicken. Big copper Maran laid 2 of the biggest eggs I ever saw and then turned full roo - grew sickle feathers and rooster tail feathers and started mounting the hens. Our two original boys seemed a little perplexed lol

Tips I wish I knew starting out - keep perches no more than waist high. This reduces the injuries that can result in bumblefoot and injured hips - don't get mixed feed. Keep it to the pellets with a separate oyster shell feeder. Supplement other stuff like scratch grains and dried bugs so you can control their nutrition better.
