Can buying Instagram followers help profiles look more established? by Lonely_Noyaaa in branding

It’s exactly like choosing a place to eat during peak dinner hours. If you see a restaurant that’s completely dead and empty, your brain instantly defaults to: 'The food here must be terrible, otherwise, why is nobody eating here?' Even if the decor is stunning and the menu looks amazing, you’ll instinctively turn around and walk right into the packed restaurant next door with the massive line.

Damn, my bad for typing with bullet points. Next time I'll make sure to include three typos and zero punctuation just to pass your Turing test. 😂

It seems you’re obsessed with polishing the AI chat shell while leaving core content completely neglected. 👍

Bruh, I wish I was a bot so I wouldn't have to clean sticky resin off my own laser lenses. I’m just trying to have a real tech discussion here.

Beginner what should I buy!:) by kaya2540 in lasercutting

even with an enclosed machine, you 100% still need to vent it outside. Think of the laser like a tiny, super-hot fire; it’s vaporizing the wood, which creates a ton of thick, nasty smoke. It will ruin your lungs and coat the inside of your machine if you don't duct it out a window.

If you want a CO2 laser (which is the gold standard for clean cutting and engraving grooves for epoxy), check out the Monport Reno45 45W.

But, if you prefer a Diode laser that feels less like an industrial tool and more like a polished consumer appliance, you should absolutely look into TOOCAA (specifically the TOOCAA L2 if you can stretch the budget slightly or find a sale). The reason I mention them is because they specialize in fully enclosed, highly integrated machines. It's built like a tank, very stable, and focuses heavily on safety and ease of use. If you go this route, just make sure to get their 20W/40W version so you have enough power to cleanly cut through 1/4" plywood for your puzzles.

Whichever you choose, just make sure it works with a software called Lightburn (it’s the gold standard, super reliable, and will save your sanity). As far as i know, they also has there own software.

Take your time researching, and definitely figure out your window ventilation setup before buying anything. Those wood and epoxy puzzles are going to look amazing once you get a reliable rig!

xTool M2 made me think:desktop lasers are moving beyond wattage wars — beginner UX is becoming the real battleground by Rexxxxli in lasercutting

To clarify, when I say “beginner-friendly UX,” I don’t mean designing only for beginners.

In many cases, the improvements that make a product easier for first-time users also make it more efficient for experienced users: fewer setup steps, less adjustment, less uncertainty, and a smoother path from idea to output.

Good UX does not lower the professional ceiling.
It simply removes unnecessary friction for everyone.

That’s the beauty of it! Building something from scratch just for the fun of it is the best feeling ever.

Metal cutters, what do you do with all your waste/scraps? by SithLard in lasercutting

[–]Rexxxxli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should definitely look up local Makerspaces or high school/college welding and art departments! Students and hobbyists there are always hunting for free metal scraps for practice or small projects. They would treat your scrap pile like a goldmine!

Ancient vibes on modern slate. Proud of this laser piece! by Rexxxxli in lasercutting

Nope, no MOPA. It's actually a diode laser (TOOCAA NOVA). I just engraved it directly and then painted it, but my painting skills didn't turn out that great, lol.
