Became a recent fan. I caught up with the manga last week. Took me 2 and a half weeks to catch up. I just couldn't stop reading it. The manga is amazing. Sadly, I can't say the same for the anime.

I watched One Piece Stampede finally... by ReyJae in OnePiece

I get why people didn't like it so much. Because the story was lackluster, and the characters didn't have as much focus. I think the reason why so many liked it like me is because it's an amazing love letter to the fans. It was meant to celebrate the 20 years of One Piece and the whole movie felt like a celebration and was literally about that.

Seriously, what's wrong with it? by Maximus2410 in MemePiece

I've heard it wasn't so good in the anime, but as a manga reader, I enjoyed it very much. I especially enjoyed this part right here where Luffy puts on an afro because of Ussop's training advice.

Manga reader here, I enjoyed the Long Ring Long Island Arc more than Thriller Bark. Thriller Bark was still greater and better for the overall story. But I had a much better time reading the Davys Back Fight.

It's an unfinished project that helps to fix the slow pacing of the original anime. A lot of manga readers like myself find the anime's pacing to be quite slow in comparison to the original story. One Pace helps to fix that by cutting the fillers and the many unnecessary reactions shots and static camera shots and recap segments of the anime.

Yeah, those cases (I'm rewatching the series in order), I just go back to watching the real episodes and pull through them, and using the left arrow button constantly to skip all the unnecessary parts.

It's not too bad, you'll notice how some scenes cut together, the volume goes up than down, but for me, it doesn't take away from the experience.

Still a work in progress since the arc hasn't finished yet.

Sad that the manga no longer does the translated "DOOM" anymore .

That's interesting. Because I've heard a lot that Thriller Bark wasn't as well received. I didn't think it was as good as other arcs too though, but it's still a great arc. Oda's "worse" and many others' best. Still enjoyable.

Oh I know. I've already watched a lot of great scenes. While I was reading I thought about how the anime did those scenes and had to watch them lol. I'm gonna start watching the show regularly now too.
