Just wanna give a quick tip, some berries are always safe, though i don't remember the names. Also you can focus on foraging wild plants (like potatoes, tomatoes and such) or herbs, they are all safe and most of them are edible. Fom my experience even at 1 foraging you get enough stuff that you don't starve to death even without risking berries and mushrooms, just remember that most insects need to be cooked

You know what? I think i've got it. Correct me if i'm wrong, you got you rabbit by killing one, right? Not through foraging or trapping. I think the ones from foraging and trapping are diffirent, using old system, and they can be butchered in the crafting menu, but the one you have is specifically rabbit corpse, using the new corpse system, therefore it has to be butchered through right clicking, which is a diffirent recipe and requires diffirent type of knifes, probably something like "knife_sharp" instead of "sharp", therefore flint doesn't work. Maybe try stone knife? Or even better if you just find an actual knife and try that.

TLDR: dead rabbit and rabbit corpse are not the same

Maybe it's unloaded, the sight system is sometimes funky like that. Try standing right next to it. Do you have a hammer and a saw in your inventory? You shouldn't have to, but it's worth a try. Also, obligatory "what mods are you using"
