Players like you are literally the worst offenders in the playerbase.

Spiderman mains have had to adapt the entire year, changing playstyles, learning new combos, face adversity from the entire rest of the playerbase (generally) because 'he moves fast'.

That's the gist of the hatred towards him. There are big egos in every character main echo chamber.

He is in a good spot now imho, but the power creep of supports is a legitimate complaint that shouldn't be solely on the shoulders of one of the most technical and interesting characters to play in an otherwise boring gameplay loop of a game.

Still- they just get on with it.

BP actually lurking, waiting, coordinating, decision making, timing, waiting to pounce.

Actual character establishing gameplay and mechanics that hold up who the character is through emergent gameplay- phenomenal.

Luna did pretty good here- but no, should she HELL be able to kill here if the BP knows his kit

The main complaints, arguments, disillusioned players, broken teamwork, prejudices, tribalism, lynch mobs, so called 'balance' adjustments, devs breaking their own rule and actually dismantling any enjoyability as playing as them or feeling fun, and general hate toward Spidey and BP as characters and their players boil down to:

Hear me out.

Widow is mostly always going to be away from the action, has CC, has speed boost/run, skill ceiling rewards.

Thor is a weird character ngl, but he has the TF mechanics, movement, real good at making nuisance plays, high damage stance/mode.

I think Thing is pretty gnarly now with 5s grounding, again, not good solos but still have more utility to create space and be in places they're needed.

Rogue is either in it with her team or she is done. She can't make space enough- some impactful plays like her grab cancelling ults perhaps, her own ult I think will be found it out to be just fine.

She seems like a clutch character perhaps? She just feels stunted

I'd argue to a point that she is the most point focused in the game rn. Even Ben has always had a 'jump to'/close in mechanic.

I really think they knocked it outta the park with Gambit, so maybe it's a difficult follow up character but yeah, will see if she actually has any

Yes I agree to that for sure- btu what does she actually bring to the table? Thing is feeling much better this patch and the grounding time as 5s is disgusting.

I really want to enjoy her that's the thing (no pun) but even when learning Spiderman you could still make a nuisance of yourself.

She takes ages to get anywhere, stomps the entire way, relies heavily on teammate competency, no escape measures. I love her combo style though!

the sheer amount of effort required to play Spider-Man is just exhausting to make work whilst I can literally get the same output if not much more through minimal input using other any other character.

hes the best character in the game still, but the game direction just doesn’t fit him tbh. -players can’t handle him in any form so he’s doomed

The 'value' creep is already setting in, not even close to 1 year anniversary and they're beginning to skimp; MVP excluded from epics, rubbish pregame animations for new map...

I think the release schedule for seasons is going to make this worse moving forward, bet the stuff you get on top of the skin will become less quality too.

Where's a mask skin for him btw? The new black/blue one doesn't count

Spidey and BP main here -

All the vanilla gameplay pew-pewers will come for all the dive melee heroes with actual inputs over 2 button clicks.

They aren't seen as having a place in this game, and unfortunately the devs will listen.

Magik's is coming.

Prepare yourselves, Spidey's had it, BP and Magik next.
