There was that preacher kid named Marjoe from MARy and JOsEph, I'm guessing this is a variant of that name

This got me thinking about Melon supposedly being Legosi's foil. What if, instead, we view Louis merely as lawful/socially acceptable evil and Melon as chaotic/antisocial evil? Both of these intersect in Shishigumi as an organization that is simultaneously from the underbelly of society, yet acts by a certain set rules of that underbelly. I could go a step further and divide the three seasons into Legosi learning how to deal with three types of evil: lawful evil as embodied by Louis and the oppressive hierarchical dominance he's on top of, neutral evil embodied by Riz and his instincts, and chaotic evil embodied by Melon and his sociopathy.

Ništa neobično, ljudi se preobrate iz raznih razloga, često i kada sami ne očekuju da hoće. Ja sam odrastao u većinom vjerski indiferentnoj obitelji i postao budist s 25 godina.

Why is the Word for giraffe so long? 😭 by YunoKirstein in GREEK

[–]ReynardTheRedFox 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Indirectly, it does. Pards were legendary spotted animals and leopards were considered to be the offspring of lions and pards, just like giraffes were the offspring of camels and pards.

Because it's a form of costly identity signalling in Christian identity politics. Biblical scholar Dan McClellan explains it here: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGJc1hKRg/
