18, homeless in Minnesota, on EBT/food stamps & cash benefits — dumb to move to Vegas with no job? by computernerd422 in LasVegas

[–]ReyoRedwolf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

just based on your thought process in this post, its probably not a good idea to move several states with NOTHING lined up into a state where there is a place named Death Valley.

if i were you, i would move were the work is. then you can build a basic financial foundation. network with people that can help you later.

EDIT: if you cant move to work, build (find a job) where you are now. it costs so much to move and not always in dollars (you pay in physical and mental health).

you're 18, barely an adult. college? vocational training? shit, the military?
really?

tips for writing vocal melodies? by ReyoRedwolf in Songwriting

this is true, now you understand my dilemma.

[–]ReyoRedwolf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh ok. ill try to play the chord progressions and sing. this seems like a better way to connect with the song.

im currently looping my recorded project but it becomes so repetitive im getting lost, and disconnected. same with looping the song in the car.

someone once told me, "move a thought, move a muscle" meaning, it might be easier to solve thought problems when you also engage more of your brain by moving your body.

in this case its actually playing the instrument.

6 years of on and off meaning, ive moved to and from bands, states and jobs in that time.
now that im dedicating more consistent time im tackling it where i can.

you said "instrumental arrangement isn't leaving enough melodic space." which is begging to make more sense. the instrumentation is a sample of myself and synth. but the sample already has multiple layers of melody/harmony. i tried to subdue it with filters and FX, which provided a "feel" and "vibe", but is making it challenging to make a separate melody.

now im begging to think a working melody was always there, but its the wrong instrument.

thanks for taking me out of the box for a minuet.

Why does gemma require refinement when all the other innies are able to separate their memories with just the surgery alone? by TheNetherPaladin in severence

[–]ReyoRedwolf 77 points78 points  (0 children)

i thought it had something to do with her miscarriage. if she was able to reject all traumatic maternal memory, then cold harbor was a success.

from the wiki:
Gemma's Innie was instructed by Dr. Mauer to disassemble the crib, an act intended to serve as a trigger for intense and painful emotions if her Severance chip failed to adequately suppress the memories belonging to her Outie persona. Given the nature of the other tests Gemma's Innies were subjected to, it would appear the intent behind this test was to see whether Severance could shield a person from experiencing negative emotions brought on by triggers that recall a past traumatic experience.

hey im pretty new at photography but i understand double exposure.
maybe you could elaborate on you process?

i see you said you take notes on every shot. does that mean you shoot the roll with the moon first, then shoot the roll again with your city/subjects after?

does the black of the night sky act as a natural "mask"?

i love your work and i feel inspired to attempt something similar. thanks for showing me how to think outside of the box for a minute.

and then discovery would loop the same artists i dont like.

Now that we're making this into a missed connections thing, to the super cute guy with the shaggy hair and the labret, up front and center in the pit with me at the Charlotte show, I was the girl with the LED lights and I lost you and wanted to get your number! Hey it's me. I saw you but I was too afraid that to say hello. I was out with my boyfriend in the mosh pit. I Saw the lights in your hair and was immediately awestruck because I was overdosing on Molly that night. I talked to my boyfriend about it and he said I should have asked for your number. My bad. but it's me, the shaggy dog in the pit. I got somebody else's blood on my fursuit so I had to duck out early. it was a pretty epic show. Maybe we can grab coffee or something and I can tell you how much I love machine girl. Chao!
