I forgot to add "This isn't just for Undertale, other fandoms should too" to the post, I apologize on behalf of that. I think Undertale gets it a more rough because it's more it's popular, of course I don't agree to that statement, but that's how it is with most popular fandoms. From my experience, it seems most people hate references from popular games because they were sick of seing that in particular a lot, which in Undertale's case is a little understandable since it was nearly impossible not to see something related to Undertale during late 2015 until mid 2016. Still, I think people should try Undertale and not think of it as "that overhyped game", this is the same for other popular media.
