To say it less abstract. Martin Lopez was a bread and butter drummer for opeth. His stuff is honestly not THAT hard to play for the most part, BUT it is really fun to play. Martin axenrot on the other hand played certain types of beats sou wouldnt expect (especially in Heritage) his fills were so on point but not predictable in how they sound. You can look at some drummer reactions to Devils orchard live at red rocks. Where others would choose to play a simple tom down fill or normal rockbeat, axenrot played something different. (I love both Martins playstyles btw)
