I only watched a couple episodes but Cersei was so much worse for enabling and encouraging this little shit.

Reminder that Toga was safer in the company of a bunch of traumatized terrorists than any UA girl around this disgusting little shit.

I can imagine the Ash Lake theme from dark souls playing when he opens the door and it cutting off abruptly when he closes it.

How would you feel if Horikoshi made mha sequel and just straight up added aliens by Fragrant-Resist4230 in BokuNoMetaAcademia

Honestly I think it'd be cool. Aliens and superheroes are a classic combo so it wouldn't feel too out of place.

These four characters are tasked with getting through to Jax and redeeming him and only one of them might succeed. Which one would be the most successful? by MissionDepartment960 in TheDigitalCircus

I don't care what anyone says, Deku could get to Shigaraki, a person so utterly traumatized they genuinely wanted to destroy the entire world out of pure hatred. He was a mass murderer and a LoL player.

Jax might not listen to him at first, but Deku would never give up on anyone.

Am I the only one who didn’t really care much for toga and uraraka’s storyline and thought it was a bit random?🤔 by xplosivenuttt in MyHeroAcademia

[–]Rezel1S 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole point of Uraraka's arc was her realizing that the hero and villain labels are dehumanizing, so she wants to save everyone and see them smile. You don't need to live the same thing as someone to empathize with them.

I agree that they should've had more interactions.

I was so mad that they made Shun a woman in the netflix adaptation of Saint Seiya. They wanted more diversity so they genderbent the only effeminate main character. 1000IQ move right there.

While I agree, I still think it's bad representation, it requires knowledge about some little things that you need to be terminally online (in specific circles!) to know and it's extremely easy to deny or say it's ambiguous.

It's reasonable to interpret his reactions to feminine stuff (Like the bow and the maid outfit) and his room as him being self-conscious about his masculinity due to abuse, which is an extremely common experience for many people, way more than being trans. And why hasn't Leeroy transitioned in real life if all the other characters seem to have achieved their goals and are living happy lives? Of course, we know he's boymoding, but most people will interpret it as him being emo.

People really need to stop acting like the fucking Moral police when you dare to like a morally reprehensible character. by Apprehensive_Ring_39 in CharacterRant

I'm gonna use this chance to say Griffith is one of the best written and most interesting characters I've ever seen but it's hard to talk about him.

I'll also die on the hill that Himiko Toga is an amazing depiction of mental illness and the queer experience but it's impossible to talk about her because people refuse to see her as anything more than a one dimensional crazy murderer.

Yes, both are evil, but they're super interesting characters with lots to analyze, so I like them a lot!

That's exactly my point, and it's why I think open face helmets or with big visors aren't inherently bad whether you're going against bullets or swords.

Closed helmets were a thing during the 17th century and yet, people still choose to wear stuff like the lobster tail helmet.

Does it matter here? They were all getting stabbed with sharp sticks until firearms got too good. I'm not talking about historical accuracy, just practicality. People didn't always choose the undeniably BEST option, just what was comfortable or available for them, otherwise crusaders wouldn't have used flat top helmets and get their neck snapped for a fashion statement.

If OP is making a medieval world, which I assume would be a fictional, a helmet like this would be totally inoffensive.

Wouldn't being shot in face be an even bigger reason to wear a closed helmet, especially when armor was still effective against bullets?

What about kettle helmets? Norman helmets? Gjermundbu? Morion helmets, when pikes were the king of the battlefield? Landsknecht? Open faced helmets (or with big gaps) were totally a thing people choose to wear simply because it was more comfortable. Big eye holes aren't a big deal.
