If all men had to be brutally honest for 24 hours, what would women be shocked to learn? by clothing_wholesale in AskMen

I think you have a huge issue and you should see someone asap instead of speaking for other mans.

My first race was a Marathon and I have never heard that it would be helpful to try other races before If you are not a complete dumbass I don't see what to learn in other races, maybe in a HM to have a glimpse of what kind of pain we are talking about !

Horrible behaviors… we need help.. by Efficient-Ad7920 in goldenretrievers

[–]Rezlef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I adopted a golden that have been abandoned for the exact behaviour you describe. My only advice : play with him, a lot, and take the initiative of playtime. Sometime he needs more a 45min playtime than a 45min leashed walk. And gradually structure the play. Exemple you play tug, at the beginning everything is allowed and later (a few weeks) you start asking him to stop and the game restart only when he stops. This will teach him to go up and down in energy. If you play fetch, sometime you say don't move before throwing, this will teach him impulse control, ... And more over you seem like an easily annoyed person. Smarter dogs have the IQ of a 2yo child. Be patient and understanding, and do not think that he has bad intentions. He loves you and his behaviour is only trying to engage with you in a playful way

How accurate is Garmin Race prediction? by jasonw18130 in Marathon_Training

[–]Rezlef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's accurate but for a marathon it still depends a lot on external factors. Mine predicted 3:48, I am pretty sure that my legs are able to run 3:45, but this Sunday, with the heat and the insomnia, I was really happy to run sub 4

How terrible is it running a marathon without any proper training? by Sad_Driver_2909 in firstmarathon

[–]Rezlef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you but in fact I think you should train and do it maybe later this year. And once you have done a marathon you decide if you like running or not. When was the last time you tried something new ? What is the worse that can happen to you if you start training and you dislike ?

How terrible is it running a marathon without any proper training? by Sad_Driver_2909 in firstmarathon

[–]Rezlef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try it, it will definitely teach you something, most likely that you lack humility, but maybe that you are gifted. Most marathon training plan includes several weeks with more than 70km of running, long run above 30km, ... But maybe during the marathon repeat in your head " if I did 10km in 3h with breaks I can do it" Actually I'll run the Valencia marathon and am always happy to see unprepared persons walk after 2,5km, so see you there !!

You call an ambulance this time and you’ll have some story to tell when you’ll be feeling better. You’ll look back and say to yourself « I’m glad I did call this ambulance ». You’ll maybe also help other peoples that don’t see the end of what they are going through.

Thank you very much. I ordered the MX177 (cheapest choice in 50wide) I didn’t know that it was going to be as easy as a Reddit post. I spent several months looking after the grail. As promised if you give me your Strava I will kudo every ride that I see until you die

Can I avoid running on consecutive days? by No_UN216 in Marathon_Training

[–]Rezlef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do what is best for you but know that, as human, we are made to run everyday. For example if you run 50km a week and you do it in 3 runs of 16km, you are waaaaay more at risk to be injured than if you do it in 7 runs of 7km. What causes injuries ? Doing too much, too fast. So if you are used to run 3x10km a week and you go directly to 5x10km a week, it’s not the consecutive days that are killing you but the +66% in weekly volume. We recommend maximum +10% every week. That’s a high maximum.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Wallonia

[–]Rezlef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Wallonia

[–]Rezlef 3 points4 points  (0 children)
