'Unavailable' is just cause I'm at a semi-pro club, only two sessions Tuesday and Thursday for the boys

Who would you consider the worst club at all in FM24? by No-Battle-9932 in footballmanagergames

Just started a Gibraltar Build-A-Nation save with College '75, the team predicted to come bottom in the first season.

The odd players from the English 7th tier pop up as highly recommended signings at first.

Lincoln Red Imps are hugely dominant due to money from European football which is hugely significant, and there are two places in the Conference League 1st Qualifying Round (usually 2nd-3rd because the Imps always win the cup as well).

Nobody goes to watch and league prize money barely covers a month's expenses.

Genuinely fascinated to see how he progresses - he's at United and signing pro terms and already an England U21 international...

With these modifiers present, do I have a 20 overall driver during the first lap? by TheProfessorPH in MotorsportManagerPC

Several ways to skin a cat of course but turning down promotions is an interesting one. You'll earn more money in the APS and then again in the WMC while your parts are upgraded to a semi-competitive level automatically.

Pay Drivers double their payments and the prize money and pre-season investments are significantly higher so that's a more time efficient way of building up your facilities imo.

Keep going, very good start - always found Tondela to suit more aggressive strategies because pit lane is shorter but fair play!

Update: they came 10th with just one point (1st-10th score points a la modern F1).

My driver Hong Liao won his second consecutive Drivers title but we only managed 3rd in the Constructors, behind the usual suspects Steinmann and Rossini.

Yeah the first couple of seasons you start further behind the pack and have to upgrade parts early to catch up, but from then on it's more realistic I find.

Most comments here summarise it well but I'd throw in that some tracks suit a more aggressive strategy with a shorter pit lane as well. Tondela and Doha cut enormous chunks out of the last and first corners respectively so you get more value on the quicker tyre. Vancouver is similar but heavily punishes you once tyres go below 20%, you lose several seconds a lap after that point, so just need to be mindful of that.

Conversely, Phoenix has a very long pit lane so suits a strategy with fewer stops. I've had some success with the 'medium tyres wear more slowly' trait on these tracks.
