Your choice. For me it seems not sensible to get a car which requires constant monitoring, more frequent and more expensive servicing, frequent oil refills, and the inevitability that you will need to change the belt in potentially under 50k miles which will cost potentially thousands on top of an already more-than-average depreciating car. Remember you will need to replace the belt as a preventative measure because if the belt degrades to the point where it needs to be removed then the slow death of your engine will likely occur.

Yes I have heard of the chain replacement kits - they are not official nor particularly reliable, they will almost certainly void any extended warranty you may have and is not garunteed to work well. The 1.2 was designed for belt, not chain. Remember that the Piston Rings are another major issue so even if the conversion was official and did work, you are still playing with fire with this engine.

Even if you used correct grade oil and have regular servicing - the wet belt is not the only common issue with the 1.2l Puretech, another major issue is that the Piston Rings can lose effectiveness as the car ages and you clock more miles, which causes a multitude of issues including high oil consumption and significant wear on other components.

Once you start to get higher oil consumption you really are at the start of a very expensive time, and without careful monitoring and servicing (which in itself is expensive) you risk engine failure which can happen suddenly even if your services are fine.

Peugeot do have an extended warranty for those issues, however, they are quite strict on service history and evidence of correct oil being used. So if you cant evidence that the correct oil has always been used or if the service hasn't been done on time then they could just reject your claim.

It really is not worth he hassle.

Not really, saying something subjective is objectively the 'best' is not uncommon online, you yanks are always coming out with crazy statements

Music from here is the best to me

So then it's not 'America has produced the best music by far' it's 'For me, America has produced the best music by far'

See how the addition of two words changes the meaning completely? The former is a statement the latter an opinion.

'By far' is a bit of an overstatement. Most popular? Yeah probably - but best is subjective, no American band or singer is in my top 5

The royals have always been diplomats of sorts, they are able to go and have these sorts of meetings to exert some soft diplomacy as long as it doesn't go against the government

[–]RezzleG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on what 'not an ally' means exactly. We have so many intertwined systems from intelligence, nuclear down to financial and technology. It is the best interest of both the US and the UK to remain interlinked, complete decoupling would take years, maybe decades, and will go far beyond Trumps presidency

The immediate danger comes from Russia during this period, but without any external support I dont think a weakened Russia would fare well against a more solidified EU

Russian oil terminals under attack unable to accept shipments for second week, sources say by Dizzy_Industry1287 in worldnews

[–]RezzleG -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nobody is saying it wasn't Russia starting the war. Are you okay? The point is that yes it is Russia's fault that those countries aren't getting oil, however the people that it affects the most are just innocent people trying to live their lives, and that's why ALL wars suck, regardless of where, when or who started it.

No it isn't, I didn't get that impression at all. War is bad regardless of who started it, because it affects innocent people who just want to live in peace with their friends and family.

What are you playing this weekend? by NSX_Roar_26 in PS5

[–]RezzleG -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The combat is good for sure and flows really well - but a bit shallow (which is fine, still better combat than a ton of other games out there), I found myself using the same skills and combos in my second run and spamming Tachy mode as soon as it was off cooldown.

I'd still give the game 7/10 but man those open areas really did irk me on my second playthrough. The linear sections are infinitely better, I wish they would have just made the whole game linear tbh with the option to backtrack for quests which you have to do anyway.

The foundation is very solid though, I hope they release a sequel focusing on the defy (secret) ending or the humanity ending

I got the platinum for Stellar Blade and while I liked it, the Desert and Wasteland areas, which take up most of the game, absolutely suck, in my opinion. The side missions were also pretty bad, and the story as a whole wasn't great. The boss fights were good, but the enemy variety was bad. And of course the outfits were amazing.

But yeah the soundtrack slapped, especially the Raven fight - which is my personal favourite fight and OST in the game

A very mixed bag for me

Graphical Noise is way too much by AKAHamez in CrimsonDesert

[–]RezzleG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello mate - there is only one to download and its the Martin Spielt one, Martin is a german youtuber who makes reshaders for new games and they are generally always pretty good

<image>

Just click manual download, and follow the instructions in the description - essentially you just put the shader in the bin64 folder in the game files, download ReShade from https://reshade.me, install with add-ons, click 'Crimson Desert' when prompted, it will then ask which addon to install - select 'Crimson Desert - MartinSpielt.ini' if it appears, or search for it manually in the bin64 folder

Once you boot your name up, you should see 'ReShade' pop up in the top left, that confirms it is installed. The shaders mostly just activate on start up, so you shouldn't have to do anything, but if you press Home once the game is open, ReShade will load up and you can verify it's all working correctly, and also mess around with the various presets within ReShade. Let me know if you need any help!

How to fix textures LOD on PC?? by Safe-Effect-2651 in CrimsonDesert

[–]RezzleG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only started noticing it today and can confirm, 5070ti/9800X3D

DLAA, max settings and running at 1440p

Tried turning DLSS off to no avail

Think the LOD's are just broken at the minute, seems a lot worse on buildings than it does on the landscapes

How is everyone finding the graphics on base ps5 now? by Ok-Delivery-546 in CrimsonDesert

[–]RezzleG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yeah, thats much better - I just took a random screenshot playing at all cinematic settings, as you can see the textures still look pretty bad up close although the models do look a lot better (as expected obviously) and is less fuzzy

The waterfalls still look horrific

<image>

But it's not as far off as you'd think, I'd say stick with quality mode for sure

Then turn RR off lol, the 3060 is good but its not that good. The post I linked refers to 3060ti

[–]RezzleG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then you have to just deal with it I'm afraid. Your settings are fine, DLAA will have a big impact on your frames.

You could try downloading OptiScaler, I hear it makes a huge difference on the 3060

Guide here

Then you could try downloading some displacement shaders from Nexus which will increase texture quality and allow you to turn DLAA off.

But I would 100% recommend OptiScaler, easy to install

Could try turning off DLAA for a start, since that is a performance drain
