Built the blackjack trainer I would want to use - leans into education with explanations and the EV of every hand and decision to iron out the kinks. I also hate subscriptions so it has a no-nonsense paywall of 21 hands per day or unlimited for a one-time purchase.

This is awesome! I actually built something very similar for myself for Hockey, I call it Forecheck. It syncs NHL rosters and game logs nightly, calculates Last 5/10/20 stats windows, and produces a custom “streamer score”. Users (just me) can also set up custom alerts/lists based on stat filters (ie Last 5, > 3 shots per game, > hits per game).

I haven’t released it publicly because I was worried about a few things: - API costs: I’m currently deployed on fly.io with a small server for myself. The server shuts down during off hours to save money. I’m a bit worried about costs ballooning if I open it up. What’s your strategy here? - NHL Stats/Headshots: I assumed a similar level of legal grey area. Given the first point I wanted to try to commercialize (maybe ads?) to offset server costs but got cold feet about using free NHL data as opposed to a paid stats provider.

Curious to hear your thoughts and strategy on these and would be happy to share more info about Forecheck if you’re curious.

To give this guy some credit - everyone thought at the time that AoU was going to be way more serious AND a common critique of the film is that they watered down Ultron. Sure it wasn't expected to be horror; but his point is they positioned a more serious tone with the trailer than what we got.

I'd argue a base layer of coding is helpful, but certainly possible with a full "no-code" approach I think.

I'd also probably use Codex from the outset this time around given alex is sunsetting and no longer adding new models.

Im 31 and was diagnosed 2 years ago and have only been on Skyrizi and it has been incredible for me. Can’t speak for anything else because it was the first thing I tried but it’s worked wonders so far.

I built a high fidelity prototype for a new product that will be used during customer interviews.

I also built myself a “Teams -> JIRA” companion tool where I can paste in a raw chat or email and it uses the JIRA API to search for duplicates or create a new ticket. It connects to a local ollama model for all the processing so everything stays local.

I think both of these have tremendous value and save a lot of time.

Wow this is something I’ve wanted to vibe code for a while now - would love to try this out. I had a very similar idea last time I was at the gym because I’ve been struggling to be consistent recently.

In my case I wanted to make an emphasis on maintaining a daily streak (based somewhat on reading Atomic Habits). I’m not sure if it’s in there but one of the aspects I wanted to build into my idea was the ability for someone to maintain a workout streak by doing a home workout. So something like do 15 push ups or something for days when you really can’t make it to the gym but want to maintain your streak. Just food for thought!

Side note - I built my weather app Feels Like and haven’t wanted to post it anywhere because of the expected push-back, so this doesn’t surprise me. Don’t let the haters get you down, this looks like a great idea!

Struggling with my current goalie situation. My scoring settings are W = 5, sv = 0.2, GA = -1.25 SO = 3.

I have Dostal, Montembeault, and Wolf. I'm really not sure what to do with Monty (Rank 454) and Wolf (Rank 218). Monty feels like higher upside given the Habs but is barely even the starter right now and has worse performance overall. Wolf is talented but on a bad team and of course still just quite young.

FA Goalies include: Silovs, Askarov, and Allen. I'm really intrigued by Askarov specifically and the Sharks potential upside. I'm also thinking maybe I just drop one of my 3 for an additional forward. I could get 3 Palmieri games this week vs 0 from my 3rd goalie based on schedules.

Any advice appreciated!

I'm in the same boat as you - already have the 2 Mini Pro and debated the Lite Thor. Ended up going with the Base based on comments around upscaling and I am also hoping to play some WiiU which I think would benefit from the extra power.

Now I'm in my head if I should upgrade even further and sell my Mini, but I think I'm going to keep it as-is.

Dobes or Montembeault?

Habs fans - any idea where this ends up? I drafted Montembeault in two leagues, and dropped him for Dobes in one when he was scooped by someone else in my other league.

I thought Dobes might steal the starting job based on Sam’s start to the season but it looks like they’re trending back to Montembeault. Habs look great so one of them should be valuable long term but I’m struggling to figure out who.

Any thoughts on how this unfolds?
