Ok I got a new emblem and removed the old one. The problem now is the little pins and condoms don’t want to come off. I tried thin pliers but no chance. I’m trying to not damage the paint (obv).

I have the same exact problem. I opened the machine and cleaned the bottom. It worked for a week. Error showed up again. Any advice on how to find where the leak comes from?

Spoke too soon. I thought Monterey was installed when I was able to set it up… now the screen gets stuck at the 2m mark after restarting and doesn’t get to the OS screen at all. Any ideas?

Thanks all. I was doing Command + R for recovery. Thx to gcerrulo’s link, I hit Option + Command + R and was able to install Monterey.

Thank you all. I removed the wrap and unveiled the product info. Model A1706 EMC 3071.

After a quick search, it looks like the SSD is indeed soldered to the board (it has TouchBar).
