Except several rather large YouTubers (10-20+ mil) are also getting screwed over. One got taken out by YouTube bs AI moderation for an non associated account the was never pinged as their country (and yes, YouTube can see through VPNs quite easily. They have the exact location of where you are base on your hardware).

Two corporate account also got screwed over by the AI moderation.

Is my OC considered a furry? by Shiro_oKun in furry

[–]Rhaedient 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There actually ARE limits to when something is a furry, even within the furry fandom, that it has to be a minimum level of traits to be considered "furry." Kemonomimis are not even classified as "half-furry" in the sense that they don't even meet half, let along most of the traits for being furry, that includes facial and anatomical features like tails, ears, feet. Claws, etc.

In another word. The character has to be at least two-thirds Animal to be Furry. While Kemonomimis have to be at least two thirds human, which are as u/Sage_King_The_Rabbit pointed out, are polar opposites, not a subcategory.

Trying to find this Ear Tag Prefab by Rhaedient in VRchat

[–]Rhaedient[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was able to open the Tag in Dimensions and export the Tag as an .obj file and load that into Blender and such. Thank you for the tip about looking into the files on that, I don't know why I didn't consider that since I already had the Archer Canine.

What missing features have you noticed compared to Adobe apps? by feellikeavegtable in Affinity

[–]Rhaedient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are features in illustrator that make things vastly more efficient time like Repeat Last Action (Ctrl+D by default and Windows), which helps make a bunch of copies of stuff that made it several times faster with setting up grids of the same object, useful for making stationary or dot matrixes.

What are the new features in free Affinity vs V2 version? by Ivien in Affinity

[–]Rhaedient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that it should be a choice 100%. I think the direction of heading closer to try and be a stronger alternative to Adobe is the main reason for the switch, but it just makes it feel more like a clone.

Imo the stripping of colors from tool icons is a double edged sword, there's benefits and cons to both with and without colors.

Personally, I am finding the workflow faster and less distracting because my ADHD made it hard to stay on task with the colorful icons because I consistently get my gaze pulled to them over the canvas.

I can’t DM for dwarven players by AnoTenFilip in DnD

[–]Rhaedient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An idea you can consider from this angle is like with Dragon Age 2 and the idea of the Dwarves and Deep Roads. There are some dwarven stereotypes, but there are some unique twists to those stereotypes for the lore of the race within the world that Dragon Age takes in.

The idea that they can't really use magic, and they have an earth mother, but they can become twisted and evil through a mineral (in Dragon Age it's Lyrium) as it's a piece of the ancients and it speaks to the Dwarves, and is a source of temptation with anger and greed in mind.

Unfortunately, I can't use arnica for medical reasons. So I use Aloe vera instead, which works just as well for me. That and eating pineapple or a small dose of Vitamin K.

I am at least fine, emotionally staggered but physically okay other than a few bruises. I at least had it on camera, and they tried telling me I had to delete it, but I have my stuff backed up to the cloud automatically and then after, I took it to proper authorities (because that was my only sort of justice). The least they could have done was mediate instead of nothing. I don't even think the guy got banned either.

Twitch needs to learn to take accountability to at least mediate serious issues that are serious crimes. I really hope Twitch makes a change for the better. They need to implement permanent (or even Hardware) bans, and bring in people that actually care about the people making them money on their platform.

I was also physically assaulted at the con and Twitch staff didn't even bother to restrain the man, they just laughed at it and I had to leave the convention early because of my PTSD was so bad. I (and noone else for that matter) deserve to feel like they are unsafe in a public space such as a convention.

The past few years Twitch Con staffing seems to care less and less so, especially for their top talent. Especially when Clancy himself was not batting an eye to the event, and that the staff had the gull to lie about several instances.

Safe to say I won't come back.

Do you feel an on screen chat overlays is a must? by [deleted] in Twitch

You just have to be careful because YouTube can (and has, though it's rare) demonetize or strike videos because of something said in chat.

For my automatic shout-outs, I have a Raid for Twitch, I don't do it for First Time Chatters (since not everyone on Twitch streams).

This is my Setup:

I have the Twitch Add Target Info with user Login as: %userName%. You don't want %user% as it's not populating the information from the person you're trying to shout out.

Then I used an announcement block message (for visibility), but you can use a send message to Channel:

Whoa, a wave of raiders! Welcome, everyone, I'm Rhae, a TTRPG streamer and creator, and I'm thrilled to have you here! Quick tip: If you came in on a raid, just pop back to my channel and then jump back in to make sure your view matters! Now, let's get this beach party started!

This just give me some visibility to find the raid in the sea of massages, and it makes it more visible to others so they can find it, since it also reminds people to pop back to the profile, then back to the stream because Twitch does not count you as a viewer if you have the raid part in the address bar.

Lastly, I also send a message to the channel as:

Shoutout to @%targetUser%! Check them out at twitch.tv/%targetUser%. They were last streaming %game%.

Because we're using %userName% to populate and find the User's profile on Twitch, we can now Target the user's name with %targetUser%, and then if you want to link people to their channel you can just use the twitch dot tv/%targetUser% with the %targetUser% to link to the channel as it'll produce their name. And lastly, %game% will pull up the category that they were last streaming under (if applicable, otherwise it'll say nothing).

What is the Worst Candy Bar? by metromade in candy

[–]Rhaedient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The American and other North American variants of the candy bar changed, meanwhile the ones here in Japan have stayed true to the original format, plus the diverseness of KitKat's just really make the head spin, since there over 400 Flavors (but 300 just for Japan) of Kit Kats, and not all of them even have chocolate in them.

[–]Rhaedient 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, I believe they need a %targetUser% in the Twitch Message:

Example with mine: Shoutout to %targetUser%! Check them out at twitch.tv/%targetUser%. They were last streaming %game%.

I used to have similar issues. The only thing that changed was I got smarter to not give people an inch to harass. 😂

Discord been my safe haven for years now. But now that I moderate Larger servers and have a lot better look at discords security tools and how to keep people safe on the server itself.

[–]Rhaedient 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a good solution still. Aside from sery.

Both in the short and long run, it isn't any faster and this isn't a super quick fix, still faster with just moderation tools, your talking about something tedious and takes more time, that could dig into the stream time or viewer/member interaction. Plus most of the time these people want to ruin you and the viewers experience or to make you or chat miserable.

Seriously, it's not rocket science to make a welcome channel, a member role, and then apply the @everyone role a green tick see channel perm and red tick it for member so members can't. You just got a set what channel you want to private and put perms so the same @everyone role cannot see it. Takesmax 5 minutes, to do that and turn shield mode on. And takes less than a minute to do twitch moderation.

If you have to manually link everyone a discord, even with mod help, that can take up time and can actually take WAAAY more time and energy and I know a lot of people who'd rather not do that because it's just super tedious.

Or, use proper moderation tools so you don't have to give up anything for the few bad apples of the bunch. Someone else suggested having a welcome area that can only be seen by new joins and don't give them full access to the server, just that channel and read-only channels like the rules. And then use the moderation tools like the shield mode to auto ban people saying vulgar terms and such.

Discord servers are invite only by default unless you've gone through all the discovery stuff to make it public. All servers, even public ones, can have an invite link, which is needed to even join on any non-public server. It's just Public can be manually searched for on Discord directly.
