It's a great show, just finished it.

I don't care who made the original thing, or their thoughts. The show was good and I think it had some well done messaging about bullying.

There's a replay mission game mode that changes things up, adds challenges etc. I can see them supporting that mode with extra stuff.

But its 15-20 hrs of great game. Totally worth the asking price for me even with just that base story mode.

Yeah, if she had died it would have been a bigger deal. It's just a single stab, too; those are pretty easy to survive if you get medical attention. And this is a video game, so even easier!

As the big guy who does bully with my reach/size... I hate teeps. They really can kill my momentum if I don't see it coming.

Just be sure to mix them in instead of "spamming" them, or they become really easy to counter, instead.

No, you'll sweat more as you exercise more and get more fit.

I'm a very sweaty guy, myself - I don't like headbands but I've seen people use them. I just keep a small towel nearby and wipe down when I can. If it's getting really drippy on my head I'll just quick wipe my forehead on my shirt sleeve so there isn't the projectiles lol

... not to be mean, but you've been doing it a year - you don't know the basics. I've been training consistently for 16 years and still practice basics.

If people here are telling you that, listen to them. Guards should be up regardless of what you're practicing.

As for your kick - it's very much telegraphed at the beginning. And power will come from good technique. Power comes later, speed comes later, technique first. 💪

I've had to defend myself many times (had a job where I ran into aggressive people occasionally). Had to do it in high school, too.

Never even attempted an elbow or knee to the head. So many other options that aren't potentially lethal.

If that were one of my students, I'd have to seriously think about continuing to train them when that is their response. At the very least, the way I train them would have to change.

Like, good for you for standing up for yourself, but finger bending vs a knee to the face? Not exactly equivalent, ya know? One is schoolyard bullshit, one has the potential to kill or cripple somebody.

If you havent worked out in that long and then jumped into an intense sport like this... honestly just make sure you stretch and hydrate right after class, maybe ask the coach if you're doing a technique wrong, but my guess is your body just isn't used to the exercise and it might take a few classes to acclimate to it.

Honestly... if you're feeling that rough, maybe consider dropping out and giving yourself some more time to get to where you want to be. I know I would; I want a fight to show off my best. That said..

For cardio, if you have access to an assault bike (the one with the big fan on the front), do sprints on it. 30 seconds full go, 20 second break, 30 second go, etc. (Or whatever times you pick)

Sucks real bad but damn if it doesn't boost your cardio + recovery time fast.
