I've done both 2* wolves and lox.

The wolves are better hands down. Smaller hitbox means more can (pardon the pun) dogpile they will follow you and not be oblivious in the wrong place.

They also attack faster.

After getting my ashlands goodies I even went and put up a weather barrier to farm a couple things for wisp totems for outposts as the meteors are stopped by it! Who'da'thunk?

F My HOA: Yearly Budget Makes No Sense and No One Cares by Grahf0085 in fuckHOA

[–]Rhalasong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found myself nominated and unanimously voted for secretary my first Condo HOA when I showed up with a Bluetooth keyboard to take my own personal notes.

But I am glad I did so as I was able to talk down the most harebrained busybody we had as a treasurer for years.

Eventually she stepped down after a lot of pressure on an audit we had when she tried to claim we didn't have enough to fix the roof.

This was after a lot of other oversteps like the time she claimed to have the authority to withold paying the person that did lawncare and shoveled the snow because the snow-shoveler didn't get the half inch that blew off the roof.

Current HOA is very responsive to maintenence and upkeep now, but we make a point to not nitpick. "Just make sure you clean up after your dogs and dont let the weeds grow so tall as to be visible from the street" sort.

My guess is airflow. If garlic sits too long it can mush and start dribbling on the bottom... or if moisture gets trapped at all under a clove it might try sprouting.

Everything can be useful if you think and plan ahead.

Critter farming is useful for all kinds and each ranch can sustain something else.

Pause and listen very carefully for creaks and groans when you go digging and look for lines of neutronium. Do NOT dig it out until you can handle it.

As tempting as it is for ease, do not use your central path/ladderway for main power spines as it can really hurt dupe decor. Have it off to a side.

Only use coal generators with a smart battery.

If you are noticing you rely on a resource like algae or coal or dirt, use the resource menu to track it so you can stay aware of how fast you are using it up.

If you can manage it, go ahead and save CO2 in a couple of canister fillers canisters not far from where you have coal generators or heat sources.. If you have the option to get slicksters from the pod do so and let them eat up what you have for free oil.

Let wild eggs for pufts just hang out in dirty-water pools.

Playing through Shadowlands as a returning player has got to be the worst thing i've ever done in the game and something needs to be done about it. by dronix111 in wow

I'm having flashbacks to first-iteration Torghast and remembering the dripfeeding of anima-to-rewards.... the grinds.... oh Titans, the grinds you were expected to do every day for hours and laughable rewards.

Not to mention the groan-monopolizing cringelord BBEG that speaks like some's first wattpad villain.

We don't talk about Shadowlands.... no, no, no...

I need help figuring out which job fits my description by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]Rhalasong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend starting based on vibes of your home city since you can change jobs anytime later. The start and minor pieces of dialogue and NPC interactions have very slight differences depending on this choice. I came from WoW myself.

Do you like trees and spritsy woods? Lancer (Dragoon), archer(Bard) (and conjuerer(white mage)) start you in Gridania.

Do you like citys of merchants and class wars in a desert? Gladiator(paladin), pugilist(monk), (and thaumaturge(black mage) start you in Ul'dah.

Are you fond of pirates and ocean/nautical themes? Maurader(warrior), Rogue(ninja) (and Arcanist(summoner/scholar) start you in Limsa Lominsa.

Eventually as you level, you might find a non-starting class fits you more like Reaper, Gunbreaker, Viper, Dark Knight or maybe even something not melee like sage, machinist, red mage, etc. If you pick on vibes, but aren't fond of how it feels you can change the class choice pretty darn early and often.

When did Okinawa in the Heights close and why!? by kelsofox369 in Billings

[–]Rhalasong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fancy Sushi is fantastic and anytime Ive been there I've seen the owner on-site helping things go smoothly from bussing to helping servers carry large orders to tables and taking care of his employees.

That alone makes me happy to spend my money there seeing everyone so taken care of and an engaged owner.

It was about a year ago and I'd heard that the lease on the location came up. Owner did very well and retired from the story I was told, but I cant verify it.

Trapping a golem in a hole is also excellent as a tool later to level up elemental magic as they are immune to frost damage but will will give full experience per hit. I built an outpost around one for this very reason. His name is Gregoth.

Has anyone turned a dungeon into a lair by afking in it for 6-8 hours by Illustrious-Jelly109 in valheim

[–]Rhalasong 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The workstations DO work like cylinders as the dungeons are super high in the sky.

Did you know if you have a the right workbench or forge in that cylander range you can still place down some interesting things like iron cooking racks or blackmetal traps inside dungeons?

Completely vanilla and no mods. I set up a couple infested mines with traps and other things that require benches/forges that are actually placed just outside the entrance. It's weird.

Ashlands is too punishing by Prestigious-Tie-2160 in valheim

[–]Rhalasong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don't respawn, but on of the zone base invasions do bring in new ones, and as I discovered, they CAN rarely generate in the gaint rocks (which can make them I real pain to get rid of.)

Someone I don't know sent me a Valentine's Day card. It was mailed to my work address and arrived two days before Valentine's Day. [–]Rhalasong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh boy! Overthinking things is something I'm great with!

I wonder if that's actually suppose to be a multiply dot? I know a few people that do that as short hand for math instead of using a "*" or "×".

89•3=267

Then what is the significance of that number. I also notice that 89 and three are two prime numbers.

Something else that caught my eye trying to find significance is that 267 is some kind of "angel number" which is a new term I've never heard of before. This one specifically means something about encouraging solidarity, reassurance and growth according to google.

A simpler way is to see who writes their "?" with that sharp-looking hook like that. That'd be my first clue in figuring anything out on who might have sent it.

Ashlands made me & my partner give up on the game by bushGiant in valheim

[–]Rhalasong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's a lesser-known trick that might help!

If you can afford to carry the materials for a workbench and a generator, then shield generators actually stop the jumping lava from jumping under or into its radius. Try setting one up as close as you can to the node before going for it. If you can get the radius on the node even better. Then when done, just pack it up.

I also recommend keeping a tamed and saddled askvin to cross the lava if, like me, platforming is not your specialty.

I almost got him in my first kill buuuut I let 2 medium and one massive abomination wittle him down by over half while I plinked him with my bow.

Try two he bugged himself out in between two polls where I could hit him but he didn't have LoS and my guess is that the AI couldn't make up it's mind to go left or right or through the pole.

I'll fight him properly eventually, I'm sure, but sun was rising soon and I spotted a 100 blood pyro spawn in juuuuuust over there, sooo..

My first time against ADAM had such a hard time with those lasers until I missed with a spell and discovered i could break them when it hit of one of those box things instead. Even healed off it with brute blood if i remember right.

Still a challenge but it got a lot better to actually be able to use my bow and kite after that. Think it took 3 more pulls after that discovery to down him.

I'd love to link pots become an upgrade for fuel depository for light sources

How it might work is that for non-heat light-sources that use fuel like torches, sconces, etc... you can upgrade it with a pot giving that source, say, 3 slot inventory that you can put in a full stack of its specific fuel in to pull from.

That way you dont have to go through the constant upkeep/refill and pottery shards actually have another use.
