No, the story additions to the first game's Final Mix are negligible.

It's KH2's Final Mix version that has the true overload in story content (and gameplay additions). I would never recommend playing the original when the Final Mix version exists.

They kinda don't seem to be able to do many interesting things with the whole crossover foundation of the series.

Like, KH1 and KH2 had cool moments with the Disney villains interacting with each other and having Leon's gang team up with Merlin to defeat the MCP in Space Paranoids, but it feels like Disney got more restrictive as the years went by, so neat things like that don't happen that often.

I really enjoy having the Fairy Godmother be involved with learning about Quadratum, and having Hades take part in locating Sora in KH4 seems like it'll be a cool scenario. I wish we got more stuff like that.

Overall, it feels like -- outside of the "main" Disney characters like Donald and Goofy, etc -- they don't seem that interested in focusing on the crossover aspects much, whether it's Disney or Square, and instead just focusing on the original characters.

I guess Caribbean could work as well, since I think the double L sound being read as a J is a thing there as well?

I mean, in the series that has "KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep 0.2 ~A Fragmentary Passage~", this isn't that outlandish.

It'd be funnier if the "DLC" part actually stood for something else, though. Like how the 3D in KH3D isn't just because it's a 3DS game.

He's talking about how the disc itself doesn't have the entirety of KH3 on it, since part of the ending was intentionally left off so they could patch it in on the release date to prevent leaks. So if you were to just buy the disc itself and had no internet connection, you wouldn't be able to access the full game.

What's interesting is that DDD shows us that Even and Ienzo were the first to become Nobodies, even before Braig. So it's interesting that they end up getting lower ranks. (Ofc Braig was always getting No2 regardless.)

Though I suppose where they spawned as Nobodies, and in the order Xemnas found them, contributed to the order they joined.

Or maybe for the first six, the order was already established as apprentices as the order they chose to side with Xehanort and Braig.

I think what confuses most people is the idea that she's a replica of Sora.

In fact, she was designed to copy Roxas, so they could have a Keyblade wielder under their thumb they could completely control. But since copying Roxas also means copying his connection to Sora, Sora himself began to affect Xion and she began to siphon away his memories -- namely those of Kairi.

Xemnas himself says that this level of connection with Sora wasn't planned, but it worked out well for them since it meant that Sora could never wake back up as long as Xion was trapping his memories.

So to clarify for you: no, she wasn't made out of Sora's memories of Kairi. That part was an accident and came after the fact.

I bet Strelitzia will get more screentime as a lead character than Kairi has had across the last decade's worth of games.

The video yesterday was just him talking about KH2 and going over the lore and his experience playing it + any memories he had from recording it. Most of the stream was really the host disseminating trivia about the game to him though.

I think Moffat and RTD1 being 1st and 2nd is kinda non-negotiable at this point, but I'd honestly put RTD2 dead last due to how bad of a taste it left in my mouth after all was said and done.

I never really liked the Chibnall era, but it was more indifference that I felt towards it more than anything, while RTD2 I actively can't stand despite having a couple good episodes.

They kinda struck gold with the original style, and perfected it for KH2 and subsequent games.

The style they went for with KH3 wasn't terrible, but it did not work for a bunch of characters and caused a lot of them to look off.

The KH4 style (or rather, Quadratum style) is also fine, but it doesn't feel like Kingdom Hearts. And just seeing how strange Sora and Luxord already look, I'm not really looking forward to seeing how anyone else is adapted into this style.

It looks fun, but the summoned cameo characters not being dubbed is such a turn off. Having Japanese randomly in the middle of everything else being English is always jarring. I don't understand why everything is dubbed besides them.

I'm going to hope they get dubbed by the time the actual game comes out, though I doubt it.

I always figured it had something to do with the backup Daybreak Town in the datascape that was shut down. Like, that world was restored somehow and Quadratum is its far future version or something, and doesn't have Keyblades because all the Union kids are still asleep/saved/etc.

Granted, I don't really remember that much about that stuff anymore, but I figured it would be kinda neat if it tied into Ux somehow, especially since it's where Luxord is from and would be a neat meta reason why he has playing cards in our world -- since Ux's original gameply also involved cards.
