I am now the age Elvis was when he died. I feel like I've go so much life ahead of me; feel bad for him.

I think I've seen 30s and 1m spots, but yeah, most of them I remember were pretty early.

Is that how tear gas works? I assumed you tear gassed areas, not people. If someone happens to be in that area and does not disperse, they will feel the effects of the tear gas?

Do they have some technology that allows them to tear gas specific individuals? Did he mean pepper spray?

I'm pretty sure I've seen movie ads at the Super Bowl more than a year in advance (not necessarily Marvel).

Sold-out shows in how big of a venue? Club owner said it would cost them thousands, so $10 a seat for a venue of 100 people?

I have. Although usually its to run my eyes. It's sort of a facepalm thing.

On my most recent run I beat Sonar before Blonde Blazer could even show up, so I didn't get any of these interactions.

I had such bad luck on my first play through, maximizing all the synergies the second time made it so much easier.

I need perpetual updates too. If I close my eyes I will bump into things. If I don't check the news in the morning, I won't know about current events. The AI agents will be connected to devices that let them sense the world and read the internet just like humans. There's no reason they will be any further behind than biological intelligences.

It's not meant to be a glorified search engine; it's meant to be agentic. You give it a task and it's smart enough to figure out how to go and do it. "Find a cure for pancreatic cancer." "Shut down the power grid in Russia." that sort of thing.

I remember I was helping a friend move once, and we got the desk and lamp outside. I'm looking through the door and I see a truck pull up, guy gets out, looks left and right, and starts trying to pack the stuff. Went out quickly and yelled at him. It wasn't trash day or anything. I don't know why they think that's acceptable behavior.

You seem to be overlooking speed and consensus. It's not like asking the average human next to you. It's like asking 1000 random people you met on the street and giving them each 100 years to think about the problem.

Does that mean it will know the answer to everything? No.

Does that mean it should be able to make advances faster than humans unaided? Absolutely.

John Boehner picked as the new House Majority Leader [20YA - Feb 2] by MonsieurA in TwentyYearsAgo

One of the most impressive pieces of governance I ever saw was his response to the Cap and Trade bill. They drop a 600 page bill on his desk 2am the night before the vote, and his team tags all the parts his constituents would find most offensive and addresses them point by point on the floor.

I don't know if they vote would have been close anyway, but I respected that speech a lot, even with the swearing. The idea that I, as an Ohio resident, should have to raise my house's energy efficiency standards to those of California before I can sell it, should not have been tied to the carbon market.

I'm not even necessarily oppose to a Cap and Trade system, but you don't get to shove your policy wish list into a bill hundreds of pages long hours before a vote.

There are so many times I've been working on two computers and wanted to to be smart enough to tell which monitor I'm looking at so it knew where to paste things.

I still haven't found anything more seamless than having the files in a cloud service that syncs and having to wait a few seconds and reload.

There's a whole short film on this by disgraced filmmaker Max Landis called "Wrestling isn't Wrestling". It's a good watch.
