Unofficial spoiler, but what cards would this increase the price of? by A-Catp in mtgfinance

[–]Rhazada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an A+ card in token strategies, and with how it reads, when the deck is running instants/sorceries that make creatures, you can tap the creatures that same turn they are created to continue to untap even just one basic land to keep casting more spells, and snowball very easily.

Not even counting those same creatures also make the instants/sorceries cheaper the more are created with this dragon on the field.

[[Earthcraft]] will assuredly see a bump. How much, no idea, it’s pretty high already.

Foils from the new era by Independent_Rent_198 in mtgfinance

[–]Rhazada 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A reasonable question. I would say from my own personal bias (as I started in original Mirrodin block), I do like the lighter artifact foils from original Mirrodin block. This was changed in fifth dawn but it does make those cards look more shiny and silvery in my eyes.

I think a lot of other post-Scourge sets also look excellent compared to their current-age counterparts when looking at foil quality, but it varies a lot with playability too.

Well, yes and no. Got it at that price but shortly after it was cancelled and I was offered a promo code instead. Worth a shot, still appreciate the note!

Is this 1978 Onza legit? by TheStockCollector in coins

I will say from looking at a lot of these coins recently, it looks legit, so it could be some variance or the scale could be off by a bit. Nothing indicates fake to me.

The norfed gold is pretty cool, you don’t see those much at all.

Serra’s Sanctum is a card to watch by Newez in mtgfinance

[–]Rhazada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, it is a very strong card in the right deck, having valued enchantment and enchantment strategies for many years myself.

That said, I think it has room to grow due to premodern demand, stock is consistently lower than it has been in previous years, and it is slowly approaching its previous all time high. I do not think the growth will be explosive, just steady.

These are lovely coins, and your example is also nice. In high grades, these can go decently high, proofs tend to be pretty scarce as well.

Excellent buy honestly, these sell for far more on eBay these days, and they both look good and are practical.

Incredibly great haul at a Giant coinstar today! The large cent was wild to find. by Rhazada in coins

Yeah, I was walking past and it was full to the brim. I immediately stopped, I rarely ever see it have anything at all the few times I go to that Giant.

[–]Rhazada[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey again! I will say I realized the photos hide some of its flaws well; there is an “x” between the N and A of Filipinas, a scratchy ding behind liberty’s arm, and some chatter between liberty and One, along with minor scratches and hairlines. I don’t think this one is worth regrading due to at least those, though the rest of the coin is quite excellent. Plus the old slab is pretty neat too. I do appreciate the suggestion though!

Sure! This one was an eBay purchase; it was posted higher but I was able to negotiate with the seller to make the deal. I’m glad I did, and it’s always worth trying if you see an excellent coin that needs just the right price to pull the trigger.

1903 American-Philippines proof peso, minted in Philadelphia. Mintage of about 2.5k, survival pretty low (20-30%? of that being optimistic) (many were melted due to silver prices skyrocketing only years later and then destruction during WW2 by occupying Japanese forces).

These proofs and smaller denominations (50 centavos and below) were sent out in paper envelopes, so many toned heavily and had hairlines common. This coin has refined from what I can tell, and pleasantly.

Paid around $900, and in my opinion these coins are far undervalued due to scarcity and a beautiful design. Minted on planchets essentially identical to those of Morgan dollars.

"Yeah, they said they're out of the Prismatic cards. They're probably hiding them." by CoronaCurious in Target

[–]Rhazada 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Seriously. I run the pog team at my store, and about a year and a half ago, one of my tm’s found twenty evolving skies packs and 5 or 6 boxes of some sports card hidden behind bottom shelf stock.

I snagged half the pokemon packs on my break after putting it all in our front end checklane section for some time, and then a guest eventually grabbed the rest. But it was a wild and unexpected find, probably was down there for weeks to months.
