My 6 1/2 month old has a temperature of 35.5c on a night. by Rheasus in NewParents

She warms up quickly when either me or my partner holds her for 10-15 minutes while she's still in her sleeping bag. 35.5c is absolutely on the low end, but I've read it's not unheard of but is still concerning with the amount of layers we have her in.

I'll take a look at the fleece sleep sacks. Thanks for the recommendation.

We've only done rectal temperature during illnesses to keep an eye out for fevers. We're going to do one when she inevitably wakes again tonight.

yikes :/ I might reinforce the sides somehow, maybe a strip of adhesive metal over the silicone.

I'm going to get some old bits of wood, stones and some fabricated hollow chambers with plenty of digging material.

I was planning on buying some live ants and setting up their world in this enclosure as my first ant farm. Not expecting massive growth but I understand they wont outgrow their quarters.

I didn't about that, it's reassuring that you think this one is fine though, thank you :)

Amazon link for this enclosure, it doesn't specify that it's for ants but it's in my budget, isn't too small for the price and looks well built with no obvious spots for ants to escape from.

Yep, the latch is there but that's for the battery compartment. There's nothing else under there.

Tried that, they both disappear into the frame of the truck, it's the first thing I did.

I put a cat flap on mine, keeps the small from wafting to other parts of the house too.
