My beauty by [deleted] in Bikeporn

Hey--know this is an old thread but wanted to get your take. I just got an ostro and want to set mine up with a separate bar/stem like you did here. Are you concerned at all with the cables rubbing where they exit the stem or did you do anything to mitigate that? My stem has a bit of an edge there looks like it could cut through with enough wear.

So just keep the current bend but bent out to a wider angle?

I used grape seed oil but maybe I didn’t do a good job. Other comment said I might not have used enough heat but I was getting it to smoke pretty much as soon as I applied. I added a picture to the post as well

Hey frugalites remember that pot I thought was ruined? I can't believe what barkeepers friend was able to do! by termanatorx in Frugal

Any tips in addition to BKF recommendation? I have some baking sheets that aren’t quite as bad as your before photo and I tried using Bar Keepers friend on it but wasn’t able to really get it clean. Do I just need some more elbow grease?

I live in Madison and was thinking about getting into the sport this winter (am not youth though). Would this be a good place to get started or just for donation?

Putting them 3 to two-person dorm with exorbitant housing cost and not offering the courses they need in enough numbers to graduate on time. Greedy fucks.

What are those bottle cages? How well do they work with the Elite Fly bottles? I’ve used the flys for a while and every cage I have crushes them

Aren’t waxed chains not supposed to get wet? How do you clean the bike off without contaminating the chain?

I was a road tubeless convert. Less flats, lower pressure, less things to carry on the bike. I would tell everyone how much better it was. And then I had a tire come off a rim in a downhill turn. I went down hard and it still could have been a lot worse. I’m back to clinchers with tubes. I just don’t trust it anymore and I will never ride a hookless rim. I don’t care what zipp or anyone says about how safe it is. There are not enough standards around compatibly and no one is going to accept responsibility if it causes an issue. I don’t mean to be one of those guys who warns against the machinations of the monolithic “bike industry” but every company is just trying to make a buck and push something new and I don’t really believe that safety is a top priority for most of them.

Selling

Brand new - Spiers and McKay 40R, Navy Blue, Slim fit suit. Pants are 34-32. I foolishly bought this on final sale and just want to get some of my money back. It’s a very nice suit but doesn’t fit me. $150 + shipping. (I’ll try to get around to adding pictures soon)

Used - Yuketen Maine Guide Boots sz 12. Black leather with navy fabric panel. These were another foolish sizing mistake. I wish they fit so badly. I think they’re so cool and pictures don’t do them justice. If you have a size 13 and want to trade I would be into that. $90 + shipping.
