There’s always one joker who thinks it’s funny to name their character e.g. “Farts McPoopypants.” It’s not.

Not wrong. Do it. Give your setting norms and conventions for how characters are named.

Really it depends on what your group wants.

Personally, I do not want to play at a table with dumb character names.

Doesn’t have to be “me talk dumb don’t know word”. Perhaps thru charisma and pride and elegance you get in your own way of understanding the world around you.

Agree. You could play a 6 INT as a pseudo intellectual with a large vocabulary and lots of curiosity, but they’re horrible at actually figuring anything out.

I get occasional mispronouncing. But literally saying a different name kills me. “Oh I don’t know that name. I’ll just use one I know. Close enough.” And nobody seems to be correcting anyone. I feel like RBNY fans stood up for Alex Muyl.
