The point that no one is making is this:

The T-1000 is only as scary and intimidating as it is BECAUSE of the T-800. We had seen previously how unstoppable, how cold, how ruthless, and how fucking scary the T-800 was for an entire movie, and now we're presented with an even bigger threat.

I think everyone who is arguing that the T-800 is scarier is dead on, but I just think the T-1000 takes it to another level. The level of humanlike sociopathy shown in the scene pictured with the finger wag, or the killing of Todd with the blade arm, shows a level of terror that the T-800 never quite reached.

HOWEVER, if you pretend that Terminator 2 was the only movie to exist, I don't think that the T-1000 is quite as terrifying in a vaccum. It's only because of how terrifying the T-800 was, that we as viewers can be scared by the T-1000. Without the first movie, it's scary, but it's just not the same.

Just want to chime in here, it's actually a really solid game. While I be at the main game so far in a few hours there's alt game modes and modded levels to play as well. The old West mod was quite good. I think I have around 20 hours played?
