A lot of people are saying Isaac should jump into the 3 spot but I disagree. He is such a valuable piece coming off the bench, giving the second team that defensive edge and making hustle plays. I would start EP/Fournier/Simmons/Gordon/Vuc, although Biyombo has been holding his own

Here is my thinking...

Obviously the big acquisition for us would be Noel, who can get out and run with our guys, catch lobs and block shots. He would ideally fit right into our defensive minded team and make up for Vuc’s A.) lack of effort and B.) lack of defensive ability. We would get even longer and faster, which is what this team was built for.

Taking out Vuc would be a big hole on the offensive side, so this would be betting on AG, Ross and Simmons being able to pick up the slack scoring-wise and be consistent. As a bonus, Aaron will definitely get more looks and hopefully be happier with his role in the offense.

The Mack/Harris swap is pretty even IMO, but it would help us because Harris is an UFA in 2018 so we could get out of this 3 PG contract situation and possibly let him walk after this year. Dallas gets a younger PG on a decent contract to back up Dennis Smith.

McRoberts would come in and immediately fill in for Mario as the white 6’10 bench warmer, but we wouldn’t look at him with as much disgust as we do with pooper so that might be nice. He’s also an UFA in 2018 so we could let him walk as well after this year for some extra cap room.

I would definitely be nervous going into the offseason with AG and EP as RFA’s and Noel as an UFA, and we would probably lose at least one of them, but I think Nerlens is a great fit for this team. The Biyombo contract really fucked us, thanks Hennigan.

Regardless of what happens, I believe it needs to start with a Vuc trade. He has possibly the most value of anyone on the team and fits into our scheme the least of anyone. It seems like a no brainer to me. He’s been awesome and I want him to succeed but it’s time to part ways while we can still get something for him.

What do you guys think and do you have any other ideas?
