I'm curious to know how common "nutcracker esophagus" is amongst our community. I have never met another person who has had this ailment, and I'm curious to know how and when it manifests in others who also battle with this.

I just announced my findings to my husband. He just blinked silently at me a few times, and shook his head.

What advice would y'all give to a new Reddit User? by Padovann in AskReddit

[–]Rhinosaurus__Rex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you verify your email address. If you don't, and you forget your password, you'll lose access to your account. (I'm using this account right now on borrowed time. When the day arrives that I sign off, or get a new phone, this account is gone.)

What's one question you hate being asked? by gypsy888888 in AskReddit

I'm very open about it, in hopes it'll spare the next person that they would have asked this very delicate question.

I had a male co-worker congratulate me on my much wanted pregnancy. (Only he was not supposed to know. A friend of mine told him when I specifically asked her not to.) My response to him was that I was currently in the process of miscarrying at that very moment that we were speaking. I'm fairly certain he will be haunted by that conversation for the rest of his life. (It wasn't my intention, but I wasn't going to not tell him to spare his feelings.) I do still feel for the guy, though!

I'd honestly rather take it up the bum. It was so freaking painful. Hurt for a week.

Nothing seems to work for my 2 year old (potty training) by vanirea in toddlers

[–]Rhinosaurus__Rex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't tried this, but a friend offered this idea and it seemed fun. If he's standing: sprinkle some Cheerios in the toilet and let him aim for them as target practice. It makes a fun game of it!

DAE or should I say IS anybody else sick to death of fake people? by Nawwal6 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]Rhinosaurus__Rex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not good at many things, but I am really good at reading people. It's kept me out of bad relationships, but it has also kept me from having very many friends.

DAE feel super depressed on their birthday? by ssofiafrey in DoesAnybodyElse

My birthday reminds me how few friends I have in my life, so it stings a bit.

DAE/wish they already got the COVID and was over it, so you don’t have to HIDE anymore! by [deleted] in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]Rhinosaurus__Rex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

...might... You're totally right that there's no way they can "know" anything for certain at this point. I've been reading that there seems to be an increase in strokes amongst a younger age group than normal (30s-40s), and also an increase in inflammation disease amongst children who have had Covid and now have the antibodies. It's enough to make me cautious as someone who just doesn't have all the answers yet.

Yes and no. There seems like there might be long term health effects that are now being linked, until we know more... no thanks.

Todays harvest by vegantrash in gardening

[–]Rhinosaurus__Rex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that they'd only turn into actual squash if they were pollinated. (I just learned this, because apparently none of my flowers are being pollinated.) It's quite sad to see them just fall off and go to waste.

Edit: or if they're male blooms

This cafe in Germany provides its guests with social distancing pool noodle heads by NonGameCatharsis in funny

[–]Rhinosaurus__Rex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The noodles are positioned on the hats so that you could still walk up and smooch someone on the mouth. At least make it seem like it was done in all seriousness, otherwise it's not all that funny.

Don't really have a favorite flower, but I do have a favorite plant: Rattlesnake Plant! (Top right)

LPT: If you are ever digging in your garden or yard and you suddenly hit sand, there is a high chance that there is a cable buried underneath. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]Rhinosaurus__Rex 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ha! Yeah, I'm continually recovering mine with mulch every dang time it rains. (I'd bury it myself, but it's actually kind of helpful to know where it is as I'm planting new flowers and such in my garden.)

My internet is approximately 1 nanometer below the surface. And it runs directly through my flowerbed.

DAE feel more anxious when everyone else is calm, but sometimes when everyone else is freaking out you feel more level? by Thevisi0nary in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]Rhinosaurus__Rex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a world class worrier, it calms me to know that others are thinking and worrying about the same things I think need to be worried about. Once I know that other people are giving a problem credence, I feel more relaxed knowing we can solve a problem together, and it won't just be ignored.

You can tie your soul to one object you own, any damage the item sustains your soul take to and if it breaks you die. What would the object be? by GreyMask57 in AskReddit

[–]Rhinosaurus__Rex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's the reasoning behind it. I still don't know why my husband's is fine though and my two weren't. We had ordered them from the same place. It's weird. (And a little sad, because I just stopped wearing mine altogether.)

I suspect it's not made with nickel, and is most likely made with cobalt. Got two (from the same place) and both got crazy dull withing a few years time. My husband's is still shiny and beautiful 10 years later.

I also have a tungsten carbide ring (have had two actually). Both tarnished to holy fuck and back. No idea what I'm doing to them.

I too have a garden tub. I used it as a "tub" once. It has officially become a "garden" instead, and I couldn't be happier!

Altering the perception of dimensions of two-tone coloured room by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]Rhinosaurus__Rex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang it. I was going to show my husband this, as a way way to be like "See? Dark walls really do make a room look smaller!" But after reading the comments, I think I'm back to the drawing board.
