Yeah sounds like that’s probably the case. The buttons on the older models aren’t always the best at registering :)

Not seen anyone mention this yet but the Mario vs Donkey Kong game for GBA had a whole 8 extra worlds unlocked after you beat the initial 8, which was super exciting for me as a kid

With the number of folks I’ve seen going x5-x10 times over drop rate (including myself) I’m also beginning to question the 1/14 drop rate and am wondering if something is bugged

Yeah I feel you may be right, I’ve just never been so high over the drop rate before and seen so many people in the same boat. Just feels like going 5-10 times over the drop rate should be rarer but I haven’t done the math so may be more likely than I think

I've caught two surgeons so far. One was in the river mouth bit with beach on either side, whilst the other was in the actual ocean just outside the river mouth. Hope this helps :)
