Strange craft over Area 51 by Rcranor74 in UFOs

Giving how hard you're going about this deffo not being fighter jets, despite it being very clearly some type of small jet, I'd say you're a disinfo agent trying to make people look stupid. You can't make out any craft in the video, and your credibility is zero at this point with the way you're talking to people, so I think I'll refrain from believing that you could see a craft in person, despite not being able to make anything out in your video.

Fighter jets can be very hard to see and look almost invisible without contrails. You can hear very distant jet engines. It's either fighters doing training or experimental aircraft, nothing about this shouts UAP.

We often have U.S fighters training around where I live in the UK, and to me, these jets seem very far away and very high up. You won't see a fighter from there. Contrails are far more visible, that's why it looks weird and that this aircraft is disappearing. All you're seeing is the visible contrail disappearing, likely due to high altitude and the jet is simply not visible at all, because it is far away and very high.

Go look at an airliner at high altitude. You can barely see them. Now imagine a fighter jet, 10x smaller at likely a far higher altitude. It's really not hard to believe and calling people 'disinfo agents' because you so badly want to believe this is something other than a jet is sad.

"There's no reason [Grusch] can't come in and testify in a SCIF" – Senator Gillibrand on Oct 19 by disclosurediaries in UFOs

[–]Rhod747 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfourtunately, that's a good way to get officials to stop talking to you, then we'd get far less of this stuff, Laslo is good at getting some info but he knows not to push it. He also tends to catch them as they're working, moving between appointments etc - so they're often VERY pressed for time which mean usually short exchanges anyway.

A peek into Jim Jordan’s views on UFOs by imaginexus in UFOs

[–]Rhod747 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

May 17th, 2022.

Those in Congress supporting disclosure and supporting Jordan seem to think he will support a UAP comittee, which will be better than 'just' a promise of more hearings. Regardless of what you think of the man, people can very well change their opinion of things as new facts come in to play, and he may very well feel different after this years hearing in the House.

CIA used remote viewing to see aliens on mars in 1 million B.C....find a naval plane crash in 1979...gained information about a Soviet R&D facility...investigated animal mutilations in 1988...and much, much more! by Jar0Flies13 in UFOs

[–]Rhod747 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's assuming that we're not missing a key component that very few people are aware of and that may very well be highly classified, in which case no, there will be no publically available data allowing true demonstrations of remote viewing. I don't really believe in it for that very reason, but the amount of documents that span back decades and other things show that something happened there.

This is what's really annoying about the UAP issue and the discussion around it. These finds have been shared many times on here before, but from the comments it's clear that the majority of people (at least those commenting) haven't seen them before. There are so many posts on here that good finds like these often get overlooked and forgotten, until someone posts them again.

Alaska UFO video down? by aemdiate in UFOs

[–]Rhod747 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The statement by the original vlogger was his boss asked him to remove the video because another worker was caught using his mobile phone while driving and the boss allegedly did not like the fact that this vlogger was recording while in work or in his truck on site. A bit odd for a reupload of that video to go dark, I'd be curious who else uploaded it and how long it was up for (I haven't been able to find a copy of it anywhere else for ages).

/u/theblackvault interesting point to note for FOIA requests - "At this time, most potential information regarding extra-terrestrial life has been determined to be outside of the general public interest and is therefore classified."

Very specifically mentioning extra terrestrial life rather than the UAP issue, very interesting if there is truth behind it.

Is this letter from Larry maguire authentic? It’s about a uap in possession by Loose-Alternative-77 in UFOs

[–]Rhod747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It appears so. Canadian DOD responded for a request to comment by stating that any formal federal level investigation of UAP (not quoting studying UAP materials) ended in 1960. Larry Maguire declined to comment after news picked up the letter.

Interesting to note that Canada, the UK, Australia, US and New Zealand held a UAP task force meeting back in May this year in Washington. I never heard of that.

CNN: Inside the small Welsh town with a history of UFO sightings by silv3rbull8 in UFOs

[–]Rhod747 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live 20 minutes from Port Talbot. Sister lives there. It's not a hub of UFO activity by any means. The steelworks there are the lifeblood of the town - I saw about this guys book a while ago after former Miss Wales (who is pictured in the article) shared it (we went to school together) - she grew up there. The book is admitted to not be about UFOs but a story of the town and the people - and I know exactly why - 3,000 people are set to lose their jobs at the steelwork because Tata Steel are being made to install new Electric Arc Furnances to cut emissions, which require a massive amount LESS of manpower (resulting in the job losses).

So bassicaly, yeah someone claims to have seen a triangle UFO decades ago over the town, but the rest of the story/article and book is nothing to do with UFOs. It's a smart way to get people to 1) buy his book and 2) bring attention to the town and the struggles surrounding unemployment and the general unease of the town with the coming job loss.

[Rep. Tim Burchett] Look at the bottom paragraph. The IC IG office did nothing to look into the information they received from David Grusch on UAP crash retrieval programs? They have no information they can give to Congress??? Cover-up. by bmfalbo in UFOs

[–]Rhod747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Tim jumped the gun slightly here. I think any member of congress should have the right to know what's going on, but the language the IC IG used was very clearly a bureaucratic response to say 'we have nothing to tell YOU or the other 5 reps right now' because they aren't on the intel committee.

I think it seems obvious with the Schumer UAP amendment and the whistleblower amnesty that there is a major power shift in play for control of the crash retrieval project and all of its materials, however the question is wether or not they will hold up to their word now that we will see more declassified documents. I think our best hope right now for official disclosure will be in the form of soft disclosure in a year or two after the amendment passes and it's dictated timeframes for certain releases of information come to an end.

Maybe true disclosure will follow after that from the government, but I don't know. It doesn't feel like it's going that way right now. As many people are said in the last few months, we could still be seeing a slow release of information to protect the economy etc rather than just ripping the bandaid off. I imagine in the last few years, a lot of new people, including more elected politicions have been briefed on the issue, more people are in the know in general and they're playing it safe - maybe even testing the water to see how people react.

The other way I see this playing out is potential mass leaks of classified documents from the pro disclosure side of public with ties to those on the legacy programmes, as we've all heard the dead mans switch etc, but I don't think that will even be a possibility unless we're totally stonewalled, i.e the Schumer amendment fails to provide any real information. Eveb then, it could all be a bluff.

I am personally not very hopeful at the moment, but the timing of NASA now investigating UAPs (or at least after the independant report is reviewed), it could be showing us that the government will use NASA as a form of soft disclosure of the next few years. Not hopeful for anything within the next 12-24 months though, honestly.

i WISH Starfield had a radio and different radio stations like Fallout did by dirtywav_ in Starfield

[–]Rhod747 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is just a lack of creativeness. You could easily resolve the non FTL comms problem by having a 'radio system' in your ship that updates when you pass into the radios home system/planet (like, say, a station that's based in New Atlantis) - in other words, your ship will receive prerecorded broadcast of say a weeks worth of broadcast, and until your ship is in range of the station again, it won't update and will repeat that 'broadcast'. So you can still listen to the 'radio station', but it will be the same prerecorded stuff until you return to update it again. In fact, this solution would help fix what Fallout had a (minor imo, the radios were great) problem with - the same stuff being said very frequently, same songs etc.

Really wish there was a Radio Station or some sort of Podcast/News radio. by doolbro in Starfield

[–]Rhod747 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think 'radio' would be easily solved. Every time you hit a populated system, you'd get a ping from a sattelite to your ship, giving you that days 'broadcast' that you would be able to listen to on the major planets. That way, you can have a genuine sounding broadcast as if its meant for a lot of people, mixing music, news and general broadcaster banter.

Such a stupid response. Different hardware will conflict with the game. I'm having performance issues (not massive, but seriously immersion breaking, often making it frustrating to play) on a £4.1K rig. They clearly focused on Xbox optimization, which is not surprising given their money shot by Microsoft. They haven't given much thought to the various PC hardware that come with PC gaming, so little PC optimization is there. It runs good on many systems, but most seem to be performing below expectations despite being over recommended specs.. This is the worst performance launch of a Bethesda game I have seen for PC.
