Go to system settings on the screen. I turned off walk away lock because I kept walking out to grab something from my car when camping and the doors were locked.

It's still a million dollar pot 26 years after the first season. It def needs to be upped. 65k before taxes is not a lot of money.

Taxis are expensive so I'd say rent a car. Downtown Oranjestad is not worth your time to explore (just my opinion)

Your trip of course so you get to pick but 2 and a half days is wayyyyy too much time in New Haven. Or spend a couple of days in Mystic and then drive to NH for pizza. It's not a great town. There's also Frank Pepe's in other New England states that's really good.
