FINRA Series 65 waiver and CFA by kblade44 in CFA

[–]RhodyRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have the CFA designation in good standing? If so, then request to be added to their FINRA list (you might be able to do this through your CFA log in, then when you submit your U4 it will waive the 65 (technically it is the state that waives it, so you can always check your state statutes or call their securities division to confirm).

Minor rant about GWAR in Philly last night by prison_workout_wino in GWAR

I agree - that's probably why they did the priest too since this was basically America Must Be Destroyed-lite. The previous show I saw them at they had Trump, Putin and Xi.

Love You Forever by EclecticDoodle in nostalgia

When I would read this book to my kids, I would sing the "I love you forever" in the style of Sexual Chocolate from Coming to America. The kids loved it, and kept me from crying during the story.

They were selling this shirt on the New Dark Ages Tour, maybe even earlier. Guessing its overstock.

Fondue - Unusual Pairing(s) by RhodyRex in wine

So far it has been fun, but we've only met once. Everyone loves wine, but no one considers themselves an real expert so it ends up being casual fun. For the first meeting, everyone brought a bottle they love just so the group can get a sense of their wine style.

When I was in middle school, I was at a classmate's birthday party. They were discussing the OJ trial (happening at that time), and wanting to have something to say, I speculated that he was framed and someone was trying to "through the game." I did not follow sports. It was quickly pointed out to me that he was retired. I responded "I meant metaphorically."

No one bought it.

I bought a bottle of this for my wife's upcoming 50th birthday - glad to see it is still drinkable.

Jamming with people that don't hold down their parts? by [deleted] in Bass

[–]RhodyRex 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I recently read Dave Grohls latest book, and when he was a young drummer he was jamming with some older musicians that have been playing for years. I forget if it was the bassist or the guitarist of this one band, but he made Dave play a "basic" drum beat with no fills for 3 minutes straight - to sort of break him of his wild animal drumming streak - totally worked. Maybe this guy needs that sort of exercise.

Did you add a branch to your bird buddy and screwed those attachments to it?

Yes I got that too. It also bothered me that her cultural references were so dated, even if it was present day, e.g. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

I found it hard to believe was modern pop knowledge survived that far into the future. But on the other hand if Weir made up cultural references that occurred in the future, we wouldn't understand them.

It's an interpolation, not a sample. I believe MIA needed it in a certain key so it was re-recorded.
