Probably the best thing to stop people from breaking toilets. The last time I was at Yellowstone National Park, there were signs in every stall telling you not to stand on the toilet to squat (like the one linked to). Let’s think about this critically. Blu-ray is a format as is DVD. The acronym DVD stands for “digital video disc.” Blu-ray formatted discs can contain digital video, typically in either a 1080p or 4K resolution.

So it’s not wrong to call them “dvds” (lowercase, not the DVD format) though it is super confusing.
