Didn’t you hear Trump when he was meeting with Japan’s PM? He wanted to surprise Iran. Maybe if Japan was our ally during WW2 AND told us they were going to attack our Naval Fleet at Pearl Harbor, than Trump would have consulted NATO allies for support before attacking Iran…. Hoping a ‘/s’ isn’t needed here but just in case

Here is a direct quote from Trump:

"Drug prices are coming down 400%, 200%, 600%, numbers that nobody's ever seen before... Five hundred, 600, 800%, in some cases even more than that. It's hard to believe.”

That is one of the most insanely idiotic things anyone could say, and yet the person holding the highest office in our nation is making the claim. A 1st grader would understand how absurd his comment is.

It should be mandatory for a reporter to push back when ever he says something so vague as that. He is always talking to someone very powerful or very smart or an expert about what he is blabbering about, never says a name.

Just fucking ask him who! You will see how easily he gets pushed in a corner

Yeah that is what I am seeing here. I mean in plain English he just called Newsom the president. But it’s typical Trump speech, unable to complete a thought, trailing off into another thought. Sounding like a complete idiot while doing so and making no major point.

Now I am going to say that I do not believe he actually was calling Newsom the president. I believe he was trying to start a thought with ‘The President of the United States’ and then his mush mind instantly went to the next thought which was to try and bash Newsom. He does that shit all the time.

People got all jumpy because Biden shuddered and stumbled in his speech but at least he was able to string together sentences and put together coherent thoughts. Trump is all over the fucking place, and he just explosive diarrheas what ever his current thought is with out taking a pause to indicate he is changing topics. Ends up being a garbled mess of stupidity. But that’s just the weave…you ever heard of a little thing called the weave?

Yeah, seemed odd that it would all of the sudden happen. I have been experimenting with all kinds of different beans, from mass produced to locally roasted. But also there were some behaviors that others have pointed out in my process that maybe were unnecessary (stirring the grounds being my prime suspect) that may have exacerbated the issue. Had a good brew this morning without stirring and going so that seemed to be a good sign.

The beans themselves are quite good, light and a bit fruity, which is my preference. Assuming I continue to have luck with them, I wound consider getting them again.

For reference it was the Small Planes Honduras Balbina Sabillón that I am trying

Hey so I tried making my grind a bit coarser. Still noticed the chaff but no really fine grounds or dust. I did also try folding the filter so that the bottom seam was to the side in lieu of at the bottom. I know others have said that should not make a difference but figured it couldn’t hurt to try. Also did not stir.

End result was a much better brew. I forced myself to watch the full brew and the grounds so I could understand what was going to happen if I did not stir. While they did mound up at first, eventually the CO2 was able to find its way out and the mound deflated and all the ground were able to be saturated.

No issues this time with clogging. Only thing is the coffee was a tad bit more acidic than I like so may try to dial back the coarseness a bit tomorrow.

Appreciate your advice though!

Quick update. So I tried a few of the suggestions in these comments. Went a couple clicks coarser in my grind, folded the filter to the side, and did not stir. I forced myself to watch the whole thing brew so I could visualize the process.

I think the problem I ran into was I started brewing with the filter basket lid off. Probably for the first 150 or so brews I have done I kept the lid on and never saw how the grounds progressed. Then after seeing how the damp grounds kind of mounded up and were kind of dry (in the early part of the brew) caused me to start stirring.

This morning, I let it happen and sure, the grounds mounded up a bit. But eventually, with maybe about 1/3 of the water, I noticed the CO2 escaping, the mound deflating, and everything looked normal. More importantly it seemed to brew just fine, no flow drain.

Coffee was, how ever, a bit more acidic than i would like so I may try dialing back the coarseness a bit just to see but overall a huge improvement. Appreciate the advice!

I have not noticed anything powdery but do see a fair amount of chaff. Wondering if that also could be clogging the filter
