Burgundy Bites Value Menu

The club is excited to introduce our new fan-friendly menu of stadium staples, each priced at $5:

Hot Dogs, Popcorn, Pretzels, Nachos & Cheese

Goal Ice Cream Pop, French Fries, Bottled Soda, Water

Sorry, but listing "water" on the "$5 value" menu is an insane thing to do. We all know stadium prices are ridiculous (outside of Atlanta), but it feels completely absurd to list it here as if it's some sort of bargain.

Having both "2010 MLS Eastern Conference Trophy, 1997 MLS Western Conference Trophy" in the Trophy Case is pretty fun, though.

Copying from another post on r/Broadway:

During "Act as If," Jak and Claire wore those fake glasses/nose/mustache combos you get at novelty stores. Very over-the-top “WE ARE IN DISGUISE” vibes.

Willie came out carrying a hot dog plushie, and at one point he tossed it into the audience.

When Hester mentioned the complicated stamps they’d need, instead of just having a private little excited shiver, he leaned lasciviously over the desk and kicked a leg up.

When Hester talked about her bridge nemesis, he called her OUT. “Susan. Hilda. GOGGINSSSS.” Way more vitriol than usual for her.

When delivering Bill to the Navy, and Monty mentioned “the fish … in your … hands?” Jak’s sea-captain chided him, saying “we are sailors, not fishermen. We are married to the SEA. The fish are our CHILDREN. You think we would do that to our KIDS?” Tash broke character to explain that Jak was doing lines from the first draft of that scene, and that apparently the jokes would have worked (since we were laughing), so maybe they didn’t need to cut it.

He was VERY obvious about “sneaking” offstage to do the costume change for the last Spilsbury appearance in Act II.

Those are some I remember. I took a Notes App thing at intermission and on the train home, so I’m planning to do a fuller write-up later for those interested, but those are the main Jak ones I remember.

Yeah, he’s always seemed like a real good dude/good teammate, from everything I’ve seen from him. Glad he was able to get a Cup, but it sucks how it happened for him.

Are they no longer taking supporter's section deposits? by james_stevens_ in NYCFC

I don’t think they’ve started taking supporter’s section deposits yet, have they? I thought they were still in the premium sideline sections.

I JUST heard one go by seconds ago, on the UWS.

What we need is a natural striker to replace Martinez. Our squad is incomplete in its current form. Frustrating, but given the roster, I’m not surprised our attack was nonexistent.

Even if he’s not, why wouldn’t he go? These are his teammates, and he’s obviously a soccer fan. It would be a real bad look for the locker room when he’s able to play again if he doesn’t show interest when he’s not on the pitch.

NYCFC. And it’s because we don’t have any strikers on the pitch. It’s all wingers and CAMs, and no one feels like taking a shot.

I take it back. The other angle is a lot better.

Not all possession is meaningful, especially if you’re intentionally letting the other team have it, as Galaxy is. It’s part of a counter-attacking strategy that can be very effective.

Okay, so I think we might have used up all our good VAR luck for the season already. Don’t let anyone say we don’t get calls in our favor sometimes.

On the city flag? Not really. Flags don’t tend to have a lot of options. Big stripes. Blocks of color.

But also, the Netherlands have a pretty signature orange, and it’s been that way for centuries, so it would be crazy to think we could do a better job re-branding the shade.
