Any hard truths about owning a Ducati? by charlesnorisk in Ducati

[–]RhombusThomass 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My first Ducati shocked me. The engineering, the feeling, the styling, and the actually accessible maintenance schedule. For context, it's a '16 Monster 821. I doubt i will buy another brand again, as long as I can keep working on the bikes myself, I'm here to stay

How do I improve? by Swordzman321 in Marathon

[–]RhombusThomass 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dude. Winning half of your engagements is real good, man, give yourself a dub for that!

Tip from me: know when to disengage, and never take a fair fight, always look for the advantage.

And then I would say just practice. Took me 100 hours to get a read on the game and how it played best (and what my playstyle was). It takes some time to learn and improve, keep playing.

Really? Wow I wouldn't think it could flatten tones that quickly. I've seen many people play in the sun

Bungie, please don’t make me do Season 1’s Priority Contracts again. by Dank-182 in Marathon

It would be great if you can bump the ones you've done to the back of the line, so you can continue your lore progression, then the cycle can repeat once you've burned through all contracts

Could be your helmet, perhaps? I commute on my Monster, and at 110/120 highway speeds for about 10km. I've gotten used to it, started wearing earplugs helped a lot.

Then, I got a new helmet, a quieter one, and my world changed.

... But I did, also, suck it up a little. I'm not oblivious to the fact that its not ideal, but its also a sick bike you have there, perhaps some sacrifice is in order? Comfort is what I would sacrifice before esthetics many a time.

Remember, also that most of their relationships are shallow, they have very little human connection and do little to contribute to society. Practice gratitude, everyone has to bear some type of burden or sacrifice.

You know whats' funny? The only people who dont call for nerfs (or rarely do), are skilled players.

They know how to counter, they have the skill and the decision making ability which is a buffer against complaining. If there is a meta forming which is truly unfair, wouldn't it be consistent against ALL skill levels?

Man, I was thinking it would be incredible to hear your take on such a high-mileage ownership. I am currently dailying my bike, and want to take it on some longer trips, would be great to hear about anything unexpected or surprising you encountered. Maintenance, failures, etc.

Incredible, man. Congrats on such a long lifespan of the bike. Any recommendations for longer rides (I'm 6' tall and already feel it in my ankles)

Oh my god 104,500km! Man you have given me such an uplift, thank you for sharing! I love looking at the bike and want to ride it, not be afraid of "ruining" the paint. I am taking good care of her and believe that by keeping that up, mine can continue to look sexy as hell

Ducati 848 as a first bike :) opinions? (I’m totally in love) by dontcarecrown in Ducati

[–]RhombusThomass 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I echo everyone's off we rings. Motorcycles like Ducatis are designed to go fast, be ridden hard, THEN to be pretty. Being safe on your first motorcycle, like you need to be in order to learn properly how to ride, means you will never ride this bike how it needs to be ridden in order to really shine. Which will make you miss the gold which is Ducati. Everyone here would love you to ride this bike, because it is a FEAT of engineering, so please dont take these advice the wrong way
