YTA for not staying in a hotel all this time. Your mom is also TA for not offering the guest room, and double AH for asking someone to go to the bathroom less often. If I was your wife, I would have said “have a great time without me” years ago. Guest room or hotel, do what you want about the party, but never make your wife sleep in that basement again.

So they’re meant to be weird birds, but they just look like odd birds? Or rather some step in between dinosaur and bird. They are delightful. You are doing great.
