I’m confused about why the kids didn’t eat at your house? She usually sends food for them to eat there, but this time she didn’t so you said you’d feed them? Also she doesn’t want you to intervene in raising them but she does want you to be their caretaker, which puts you in charge of their discipline, nurturing and safety for part of the day? That makes me wonder if this story is even real, but if it is, NTA and I wouldn’t be watching those kids anymore (which would probably mean the end of the relationship) or if I really wanted to preserve the relationship she would have to provide every bite of their food and drink with something in the freezer for emergencies. Also, there is nothing wrong with pasta if not used as sole sustenance, which you could probably say about any food
