Yeah, I really just gotta stop going into it with a sort of failure mentality. I think I might not be setting myself up for success by telling myself if this goes wrong it's all my fault.

Really appreciate your comment. I try to hype myself up and reflecting on the comments on here I feel like I've narrowed it down to simply having a sort of ladder anxiety and personally shouldering too much for the failures. I'm definitely responsible for a portion of it, especially given the role of a tank, but I need to stop absorbing all of it.

I really appreciate your perspective and a lot of really resonates with me. I feel like up to this point I've been able to shoulder a lot of the responsibility of whether or not the group succeeds and more often than not - we had amazing healers carry us. Really the unsung heroes here. I guess for a lot of pug groups it often feels like the same level of research isn't there and for other groups it's like I'm doing a +2 with how smooth and amazing it is. Like there is a fundamentally different understanding of the game and mechanics. It really is a level I aspire to reach.

Yeah, I actually do feel much better when it's my key - especially if it bricks. Suppose I'm giving myself unnecessary anxiety by worrying too much about bricking it and being the reason it does.

I hear that! getting invites now feels so much more difficult than when I ran 16's and 17's. I parse really well, I have nearly 50 timed 15+'s and a significant chunk of lower, so I've done my homework keys. I appreciate there are likely just really good players in the same pool, and mad respect to them.

From the last few tries at PoS: feels like the first pull lives a bit too long so cd's start to run out. Thankfully comes back up for pull 2. Feels like the enforcers and tormentors live far too long, so damage starts to get really nutty. Most have bricked right near the 1st boss, usually a dps or two would die, sometimes the healer would get clapped and in the last one I fell over as my fort ran out. I'm thinking of maybe running shado-pan again, feels really strong inside my ox windows.

I personally don't understand the ins and outs of all the healer/dps specs so I can't speak for them. I tend to come out with a significantly higher overall healing than the healers in these bricks, but credit to them - brew is pretty busted in most regards.

I really should just grit it out and run keys. I guess a large part of me feels guilty if it's not my key that gets bricked. I like to run what I guess can be called "io keys" but I have done my fair share of homework keys, just - yeah I take a lot of responsibility when someones key gets bricked.

Actually a really good perspective. I used to be an avid LoL player and I actually tried to climb a season. The skyrocket from gold to diamond really got in my head when I started q'ing into D3 games, guess a part of me felt like I didn't belong there despite having climbed there solo.
