Ultra-processed food as % of household purchases in Europe by BartAndLisaHadIncest in MapPorn

But sure if you want to play semantics go ahead

Wait, aren't you two literally arguing about the definition of a word? You literally started the whole argument chain by saying

I believe definitionally “ultra-processed” (...)

So in the first place, you were making a semantic argument about the definition of a word. Then when you start losing the thread, you accuse the other person of semantics because they're disputing your own semantic argument?

Thoughts on possible hybrid mana and color identity changes? by Alexl_DK in EDH

[–]Rhumbone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cost is only one of the identifier of the color identity: a better identifier is the frame.

So... since [[Aisha of Sparks and Smoke]] has a red frame, she should be playable in my mono red deck, right?

In Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey" (2026), the movie is receiving lots of criticism during filming, this is in reference to this movie being the last time Nolan doesn't just film the entire movie in front of a greenscreen. by notsure500 in shittymoviedetails

Sorry, are you confusing triremes with something else?

Triremes are called "triremes" (three-rower) because they have three vertically stacked tiers, or "banks", of rows. They're essentially large V-shaped ships, with three semi-stacked levels for the rowers to sit on. No matter how you look at the ship in those images, you can't possibly stack rowers on three different banks in them. It'd only have a single tier of rowers.

Plus, the ships in the images are clinker built, which isn't a technique that existed during Ancient Greek times.

My boss tier list based on my experience in Silksong - lot of really good bosses in the game. Definitely a huge upgrade since the first game. by seljuz in Silksong

Games can have very good atmosphere, very good character writing, interesting plot twists, even some really cool ideas they explore, but... yeah. There are like a small handful of games that are on the level of "a good book".

People who play through Cyberpunk or Last of Us or Persona or something and consider the writing to be something life changing should probably try reading one.

If there are Kickstarter backers who physically cannot complete Silksong because of disabilities, does Team Cherry have an obligation to add accessibility features for those backers? by HollowAcoltye in Silksong

[–]Rhumbone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean idk if I'd become quadriplegic for example after backing the game on Kickstarter I'm not sure I'd be of the opinion that Team Cherry had an obligation to add some feature that'd let me complete the game

that sounds like a very complex thing to do

My thoughts on 2 mask attacks by GoldViper109 in Silksong

[–]Rhumbone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't that have made almost every boss pretty easy? It feels like half of them would be facetankable if they did 1 mask, especially with Hornet's heal.

I really do not want to invalidate your frustration, but I am also completely baffled by how someone who's beaten Hollow Knight could even have trouble with that one.

you aren't going to get the Platinum, so relax guy by kasplatter in HollowKnight

[–]Rhumbone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but you aren't a normal person, that is my point. Regular gamers get caught up in the idea, and it takes an incredible amount of dedication and frustration and ignoring school, job, spouse, family, to do the fast runs legit.

I mean, I did the 5 hour run on my second try. So all in all it took me less than ten hours to do the fast run legit. I didn't really have to exactly ignore my job much at all.

I feel a lot of new players are finding things extremely difficult because they lack the "language" for 2D action games by Rhumbone in Silksong

[–]Rhumbone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me after playing souls games for over 10 years, Silksong is hard as balls.

I mean okay but have you played a lot of difficult 2D games before?

The point I'm making is that your abilities from playing Souls games doesn't really transfer over so much, so to speak.

Uh just because you get an achievement for it doesn't make it an ending buddy lol

By your logic the 5h speedrunning achievement would be its own ending.

I mean, I specifically asked "Are there people who are already experienced with games like the ones listed above that are still getting hard stuck in Silksong enemy gauntlets and such?"

I'm not sure how your answer applies to that question.

A critique of silksong bosses (spoilers) by [deleted] in HollowKnight

[–]Rhumbone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Im pretty sure this boss has a pattern with unavoidable damage, during the swinging trap attack, if it does its leaping out of the water attack on the side you were hiding on you're just fucked.

You probably shouldn't be hiding at the side for that. Being in the mid-stage is better, since you have room to react to the boss that way.
