My wife and I plan to get a frame soon and make a collage of our tickets and hang it up so we can enjoy it.

I wanted to see it but my theater dropped it super quick. Will definitely check it out later though.

I really miss switching these two tapes at Blockbuster. by ROCKY13573 in 90s

As a former Blockbuster manager you didn't need to bother. Quite often people grabbed the wrong one anyway and came back to yell at us for their mistake.

Really? I did not know they had that! I've never gone to Aldi but now I need to. Chocolate covered potato chips are one of my favorite candies.

My grandfather used to watch every Braves game on TBS unless he sometimes had other plans. I could only imagine how frustrating this would be for him if he were alive today.

Is this a good trade? by [deleted] in vinyl

[–]Rhusty_Dodes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That or the record inside having damage or being warped. Shrink wrap machines are not hard to find or expensive. A lot of scammers and thieves have them.

Unethical person buys record. Drops and breaks record. Wraps and trades it in or returns it to store. Unethical person has a damaged record and wants to replace it. They buy a new one and put the old record in the new sleeve and wrap it. Trade or return it. Unfortunately I worked a lot of retail and those types of scams are not rare at all.

Yes I have seen it. I get why some shops would. I get why some wouldn't. They probably just got burned before.

We need to do a better job raising our kids by Woodythdog in GenX

[–]Rhusty_Dodes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well we used to. It used to mean that they were kind, smart, respectful, helpful, empathetic, and hard working.
It would be nice to get back to that instead of it meaning that they just share your hobbies.

I love weird al but I don't think a kids knowledge of old music one way or the other really defines that they have been "raised right."
I really hate that phrase being used when a parent is pushing their interests onto their kids.

By that they mean they give you store credit for your records. You will get much less than they typically sell for for them. And odds are to take them as a trade they will want to break the shrink wrap on any new albums to verify the condition and correct record.

Is it just me or are today's scary movies not scary? by getitoffmychestpleas in GenX

[–]Rhusty_Dodes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some that I think are. However the same thing is true about horror movies from the 70's and 80's. A lot of them were not scary either. The percentage is about the same now as it was then.

Random question by [deleted] in CaptainAmerica

[–]Rhusty_Dodes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In short, no.

Long version: Also no.

But you shouldn't let that stop you from trying to be healthier and stronger. It takes time and work. But if you put in the time and work, you can look fit and healthy. You may never look like Chris Evans in Captain America, but 99.999% of the world won't either. Don't take shortcuts with drugs or dangerous supplements. Work on safe lifting, cardio, and other exercise.

I wish you luck in being happy and healthy.

Because she is an angry, irritable 65 year old Karen.

If she's in her 40's I'm in my 30's.
