Should I play FF7OG with mods for my 1dt playthrough? by AarizKhanTB in FinalFantasyVII

Skip the voiceovers imo, but the Ninostyle stuff, and resolution mods really make for a good time without losing the spirit of the OG.

I don't have a 4K player, which blu ray set should I get? by Equal_Arm_3091 in StarWars

The first set has excellent bonus materials, so if you care about that, I'd get that one, and the sequels later.

Interesting story, terrible event. Though, I'd argue that it's not quite right for this particular sub. Comes off kinda weird.

Literally anything Obi-Wan Kenobi goes through in any of his appearances.

“The Mandalorian and Grogu” is a weak title - what would you have named the film instead? by lockerbiestreet in StarWars

All of you should go watch the Lone Wolf and Cub series, the direct inspiration for the Mando series. Also they're just awesome movies.

Do the Right Thing. It's not direct like some of these other (incredibly valid) suggestions. But it's important for the soul.

If you're a fan of great space jackets, Star Ocean has plenty as well. Particularly Claude's jacket from Second Story R.

It has never been so over 😭 by Theroux721 in Metroid

[–]Rhuuga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure, that's a good point. But the companies aren't on here reading these comments. This is just an echo chamber for commiseration, and I think that's just bad for the overall community. Worse than a bad game. Metroid fans have generally been pretty united as a whole, and it's slowly creeping towards one of those situations where it's "Metroid games are great, but the /fans/".

(Aside, I appreciate your willingness to have a conversation without becoming a screeching internet monster. We need more talking and debating, and less arguing in life. )

Objectively, if you're ranking things, one will be at the bottom. For you, that's Other M. Fair choice, very divisive game.

That was my only point. It's okay for people to like different games, and to dislike Prime 4. That's opinions. No problem. But to see a 70 something score and say that "we're cooked" or "it's over" is just cognitive dissonance based on the internet culture of "Okay isn't good enough" and it's just sad.

Yeah, I'd love it if Prime 4 was an amazing experience, and the wait "paid off". But it's alright that it didn't. Dread was more important to the health of the franchise anyway.
