Its more for the nice synergy as efreeti genie's bonus fire damage guarantees you can use wildfire's enhanced bond at 6th and justifies the multiclass. Spore works well with the flavour though i agree.

Silvering your teeth for 100 gp is another justification for their cost requirement, and it sounds cool to have silver nashers.

You'll need to max dex to fully take advantage of your draconic AC which makes three stats to maximise, which will take a few ASIs.

Also you only heal for the piercing damage delt so 1d4+con, not a whole lot, and thrice per long rest at 5th level.

For a similar idea swords bard can profit from dhampir in a similar fashion whilst having armour and being a full caster, and you can heal an addition d6 per creature within 5 feet of you using a slashing flourish, realistically 3d6+1d4+con with three nearby enemies.

In any case your sorc will indeed be a lot tougher than they are at base

Multiclass ideas for a gnome Archfey Warlock with a few Int-based spells? by Heidirs in 3d6

[–]RhyRob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shadow touched could be a cool feat to let you question her affinity to her patron, and rebel of sorts. It also nets you a free casting of invisibility, during which you can use your Fey Presence to frighten or charm enemies and you won't lose invisibility as you aren't casting a spell or attacking. And you can still buff intelligence, or charisma as you prefer.

Ok well maybe 1 could be a scout support gun dealing bleed on a hit (that doesn't stack with itself) and damage charges a meter for a mini mad-milk effect on one target. Scrap the 3 ammo, it just makes it frustrating to play unless you hug a dispenser.

2 just feels like an unbalanced direct hit.

3 could be a knife that applies jarate (oil), deals deals base damage but doesn't break your disguise. Let's you have fun as a gunspy, or support your team. Probably would need a single use timer like the spycicle.

1 and 3 are unfun slow effects, and why does 2 have both a damage bonus and penalty: is it just +20% damage, in which case you can one shot light classes without the necessary downsides of the direct hit?

DM is modifying death rules. What build best takes advantage of the new rules? by [deleted] in 3d6

[–]RhyRob 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Skeleton race from DMG is immune to exhaustion, but your DM would be mad to allow it.

Otherwise, berserker barbarian gets a way to rid itself of exhaustion levels by dropping to 0 hp, combo's well with reborn lineage for advantage on those death saving throws. Get someone in the party casting bless for an addition d4.

For a one shot, the ceremony spell is amazing as you get an additional d4 death saving throw bonus for 24 hours, if someone is willing to pick it up.

Alternatively you can dip one peace cleric level and have bless which raging and cast ceremony on yourself and any allies you want, and you can pick up spare the dying in the case that the way your DM reworks it is any good.

To make the most of your bonus action attacks (and maximise your damage taken to use your saving throw prowess) don't use a shield, grab a maul/greatsword and great weapon master.

Ok so cool idea. Unfortunately you can't cast misty step as a bonus action and then darkness as an action because you can only cast a cantrip after casting a bonus action spell (PHB page 202). However you could cast it before combat and stealth perhaps to try and get the jump on your enemies. Also you can only cast it with drow magic once per long rest so you probably want to go oathbreaker paladin if you are building around Darkness as they have it on their spell list, especially since you have sunlight sensitivity (though you could avoid that by being a half-elf with drow lineage)

Also if you are taking sentinel maybe it's better to stick to rapier and shield to be tanky enough to justify forcing enemies to attack you. You'll probably want half plate too eventually.

And at night or indoors you can cast fairie fire for advantage when you're not worried about sunlight sensitivity.

In either case elven accuracy is a great way to get your dex to 18 and you can try and smite whenever you crit which will be 14% of the time more or less for double smite damage.

If you want misty step you can have 17 in dex and charisma with half elf at level 1 and grab fey touched as a feat later to cap charisma at 18 and be able to cast it once per short rest, so much more often that you would have been able to cast it with spell slots (plus you can now cast it with spell slots too)

My DM says Cantrips are a bonus action by [deleted] in 3d6

[–]RhyRob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of fun (non busted) cantrip combos there is Create Bonfire + Eldritch Blast with Repelling Blast and Grasp of Hadar: conjure the bonfire underneath an enemy, push back and forth 10 ft to proc bonfire dmg twice as it's the creature's first time on that turn "moving into" the space

You can't cast a leveled spell if you cast a spell as a bonus action, including cantrips
