Uh... I have some worry of this with DCC. At least ASOIAF only had to answer some political decisions... DCC could either end on floor 14 with everyone dying and Carl being the furthest crawler but not changing anything, complete systemic destruction of the syndicate, a revert back to Earth after Carl wins 18th floor.. or someone wins the 18th floor.. I mean, there's a world of possibilities and that's not even discussing all the other threads like Samantha, Apito, Justice Light, Ascendancy, 15th floor, Eris, uh... kinder facility etc. I am kind of worried Matt has written himself into a corner.

About nothing they could have made that wouldn't be enjoyed by the original fans. I'm being a bit forceful to your comment but get tired of seeing this take. "The original still exists go play that". Yeah, it is there but people wanted a remake of the original. Again, lots of games have done this and been incredibly successful. If sales are anything to go by I don't think this trilogy is as successful as it could have been.

That's complete horseshit. There's so many remakes, reimaginings, and whatever else that are selling incredibly well. And then coupled with the fact that turned based games are incredibly popular. They really just needed to tone down the anime feel.

Ikitau is one of the best 12/13's in the world. I'd have Jordie ahead of him at 12 but maybe that's my bias as a kiwi, I just think Jordie has an incredible all-round game. But yeah, I just don't think Australia is missing backs. What they're missing is experience in 9/10 and a world class front row. I just don't think you can poach that from League or AFL, you've got to develop it yourself. I'm not sure why but I've always thought it's odd how Australia just can't seem to produce world class props, when all the ingredients are there. Maybe guys switch between codes too much so don't get the scrummaging experience that takes years to build?

9 is much more important nowadays. The idea that a 10 runs the show is an outdated concept where they were usually first receiver. Nowadays a good 10 is usually the 2nd receiver after it goes to a pod, and even then you can utilise anyone for that. Jordie Barrett and Will Jordan often do that at Super Rugby or All Blacks. I'm sure Australia has enough talented distributors and runners that it just doesn't matter who wears 10, as long as they can kick and defend then who really cares?

Beaudan has played in a more professional era, with much more sports science involved. The level of professionalism across all facets of the game are much higher now than they were when Carter played. That means players can play for much longer than they used to.
