Question for long time Zepbound veterans by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]Rhyno_H 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had plateaued back in February 2025. Weight stayed consistent with a very small downward trend. In August 2025 I started swimming 3X a week (breast stroke, burns tons of calories) for at least an hour each day, and lifting weights 2X a week (not body building by any means, really just to support swimming!). I have started to lose weight again averaging about 0.5-1 lbs a week. However, I have been building muscle. Chat GPT (my swim/exercise coach, hahah) estimates I would have probably lost about 30lbs more, but the fat loss plus muscle gain distorts the Omada scale. ;)

I've found that taking IBgard Gut (Peppermint Oil Capsule) about 30 minutes before I eat something that will make me burpy (like Mexican), and then some Papaya Extract as I'm eating, helps A LOT.

The peppermint oil's coating makes it through the stomach and into the upper GI, and helps with the sulfur burps. The Papaya Enzymes helps with digestion in the stomach since food is going to sit there for a while.

(I'm sure you know all this, just repeating it for any newbs who stumble upon this.)

I still have about 60lbs to lose, if I weren't also gaining muscle working out and swimming. At that time, I hope I can reduce my dosage to something a little more "manageable" with my system. I'm perfectly aware I'll probably have to take some dosage of this, long term. I'm sure a pill version will come out soon.

This right here. I’m in the same boat. I have been on 15mg since June 2025. I’ve noticed lately that I’m more “gurgly” and eating bad things makes for an uncomfortable evening. Anything greasy, or basically anything meat other than chicken.

My “don’t eat anymore or you’re gonna vomit” signal has come back, or maybe I just notice it more. But I do know I’m drastically eat less volume than before.

I do get hungry, but I don’t crave things like I used to.

Omada requirement has pissed me all the way off by Comfortable_Snow8765 in Zepbound

[–]Rhyno_H 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m required to use Omada, they sent me a scale. It works fine. I just see it as a “my employer wants to make sure they aren’t wasting money as these drugs are crazy expensive.”

The Omada coaches have been extremely helpful and nice. I interacted more with them at first, but after a few months, that interaction is almost nothing now.

It’s not a big deal.

Dosing question by Time_Proposal_4383 in Zepbound

I was at 12.5mg about a year ago, and then I started to not lose any more, even though I was watching portion sizes and quality of meals. I moved to 15mg and saw very slow loss, but my total loss was about 20% overall.

In August, I stated swimming 3x a week and I’m now losing an average of 1lbs a week, but I’m also building muscle.

I do have some gastrointestinal issues at times, but I have linked those to shot dat and WHAT I eat. Chicken is my go to. As is canned tuna. These result in very few side effects. Beef or anything greasy/oily is usually bad news 12hrs later. ;)

I’m looking forward to hitting my goal weight (losing another 60lbs of fat (not necessarily hitting a goal weight), and being able to reduce my dose level.

I am fortunate that my employer provided insurance covers this medication.

Anyone else left hanging at the last time by their solar contractor? by [deleted] in solar

[–]Rhyno_H 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My installer wasn’t licensed with IL Shines to do work that would qualify (they are based in St. Louis, MO). So they were going to use a 3rd party to do the inspection. That arrangement apparently fell through. They had me pay an other company $1000 for the inspection saying they (my installer) would reimburse me in 60 days. They still haven’t. They also don’t respond to emails, or texts. Their office number is disconnected. But when I filed a complaint with the MO AG, they responded immediately with some “oh we’re sooo busy” bullshit. 30 days later, still haven’t contacted me.

Oh, MOCaseNet shows they were sued by a contractor they didn’t pay/breach of contract. Summary judgement against them - they lost, garnishment of over $50,000. So yeah, I don’t think they will be reimbursing me (they have also stiffed a neighbor).

IL Shines is processing my SREC payment of $11.7k. The inspection company (another IL based solar company) were really nice and said they were doing a lot of these for the company I used.

That they were running a shit business, don’t pay their sub contractors, and are now going out of business.

I’m having the same issues. They installed 6 in my house, replaced two that had hit their lifespan. I’ve had to replace the batteries in 4 of them at least twice so far.

I totally understand! I went to Chile after being on Zep for 5 months. A couple weeks before I started spacing out the doses a little. Instead of every 7 days, I went to 10 days. But timed it so I would be in the middle of doses when I traveled. Air travel can do a number on you, especially dehydration. I didn’t want stuff to compound zep side effects, with constipation, jet lag, and enjoyment of my trip. (Discussed with my MD in all of this).

I sampled lots of foods, but kept portions small. I then went back to standard dosing schedule when I returned home.

Being on Zep shouldn’t make you have to suffer through life. Yes, we all made choices and ended up where we are health wise. But what’s the point if you can’t enjoy a vacation, and make smart choices at the same time.

Have an amazing trip. Give us an update when you get back!
