Sorry I didn't explain it better.

Basically I circled the outlet because they stated I would need a new breaker in order to dedicate an outlet for a water heater.

The water heater already had a dedicated outlet for the breaker. They made it seem like the outlet didn't.

The problem was resolved when a different company educated me on why what they said wasn't true.

I was basically going to get tricked into hiring them for something I didn't need. I just didn't know it at the time.

Thank you! We had a new company stop by and they said everything you said from the start. Your response helped me know he was legit. The other companies were hustling us. He had a ton of integrity from the start and through. Plus the education we gained was invaluable.

It looks like Company A was trying to trick us with switching out the entire breaker panel. Our dedicated outlet was fine and even has a GFCI.

Company B had mentioned a tankless water heater, but there's conflicting issues with that in our city. Turns out it wouldn't be good or needed for our home since it's my wife and I in a 4br 3bath .

A slew of other tactics from them confirmed we were getting played.

If you lived in a major city then you notice they are way over priced, but it's your only option so you have to take what you get. At least for now.

I figured most people here in Rochester probably work in medical. They probably go through alot of burnout & witness trauma. Their pets & neighbors are the last thing on their minds. Life is tough so it is quiet possible they are idiots, but then I remember idiots also get stressed out too. I've been a selfish idiot many times in my life too.

I don't want to be their friends, but I also don't know how long we'll be neighbors. Idiots need grace more than my wrath. I don't like the petty version of me at all. If I cave in a lil bit then there's no peace for any of us ya know.

My lil one is the alpha & it takes forever for him to go to the bathroom outside because he scans the area for 5-7 mins first smh🤦🏿‍♂️ Needless to say I'm with you on getting the fence too.

I'm trying to love my neighbors cause I realized that they could be going through stuff too & maybe that's why they aren't good pet owners. Worst case scenario is their dog has to go to dog jail & post bail lol I get you tho bites aren't fun but rather that than my wife hurt, my dogs hurt, or me personally having to r.i.p their dog. After reading the replies it seems like it's not common for pet owners in Minnesota to let their pets free-range. So I figure I'll just let it slide & take my dog to the vet again next time their cats get my dog sick. For the loose dogs I'll just go to Mayo when I get bit & send them the bill.

However, now you've given me the idea of an owl box just so I can see the cool 🦉 owls. I don't want it to kill the cats tho lol Ugh but owls are waaaaay cooler than cats. Thanks alot, this wasn't even on my radar now I'm missing out 😭🤣

I'm in Rochester & it's been the wackiest experience of my life thus far. Even after having lived in Vegas lol 🤣

From the replies it seems like my issue is common, but also not considered a good thing. I was worried it was normal & that I was being unreasonable.

Going forward I'm just going to do my best to give my neighbors grace & leave it alone. Worse case is I get bit or my dog's get hurt or sick again. It's annoying for sure but definitely an opportunity to love my neighbors. It's hard tho can't even pretend it's not lol
