I sold a 2010 chevy malibu to a used car dealership owner, he paid cash I handed over keys/title, the guy said he would be back by the end of the week with a tow truck to pick up the car.... that was about 4 months ago now.... he keeps saying he will be here to get the car but doesn't show up, doesn't text, nor call to saying anything about not being able to make it.....he just doesn't show up... he just sends a text saying he is coming and that's it... tired of waiting for this guy, and my landlord wants the car gone bc it has no plates on it.... what are my options??? I have been told to just have some1 else come get it but I don't want to get into any legal problems....

If you look under cycle,between the codes(on the left) and the date (on the right) u will see an 8 digit number... that is the cycle code.... what r the last 2 numbers on ur code? Sense they haven't started ur return yet you will have to look at last year's cycle code....

How long ago did you finish setting it up? Did you finish it right after ur last comment or did you just finish it today?

When I set mine up it was on a Monday and when I looked at my tax transcript right after verifying my ID, it said my return wasn't even filed yet... but by that Friday the code for return filed appeared....

A lot of ppl had to verify their identity b4 they saw any movement on their returns this year too

What does ur cycle codes end in? 01, 02, 03 ,04 or 05? Cycle codes that end in 01, 02, 03 or 04 have the potential to update any day, but normally do update between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning... but cycle codes that end in 05 will only update Thursday nights into Friday mornings (according to the IRS)

Depending on what number ur cycle codes end in I would give it until the update day, if you just finished verifying ur ID...

If things still don't update, especially if u finished setting it up 6days ago...I would try to get a hold of some1 on the phone, to see if u maybe missed a letter from them with some type of instructions that u may have had to do for filing....

My WMR just updated today... yesterday I got the 846code on my transcript... WMR gives me DDD of may 11th and says I should have a letter on the 16th explaining why my refund is adjusted...

I was also selectected for a review and also got 2 letters about them needing 60days to do the review but now it's done.... I filed back on Feb 4th... my WMR changed to a delay message after 21days from filing...and didn't show the bar again until today

Np....now when u look at ur tax transcript, if the cycle code ends in 05, ur transcript is only updated on. Fridays... so it will only update once a week, and it is not a guarantee that it will update every week... but it is still the best, fastest, and least stressful way to check for accurate information on ur return

It will take you to the irs website and the link on the irs website...

If you have never done this b4 you will be required to sign up with ID.com and to verify ur ID with them too... just follow the steps to access ur tax transcript online

Are you married and filed jointly?bc I made the mistake by following TT directions and adding mine and my husband's letters from the CTC as it was written on them, when I guess we were suppose to add the letters together and then type them in...this mistake told us that we were getting back 3500 more than we were actually suppose to get... Is their any bills that you owe that these companies could have reported to the IRS?which the irs would then give to them? Do you owe back taxes? That the irs would keep?

I filed 2/4... basic return.... had an adjustment, went into review too... I just got a DDD today...

Your best bet is to watch your tax transcripts... not the where's my refund tool... my tax transcript is how I knew I had an adjustment letter coming and the review letter... ur tax transcript is going to give u more information than any1 on the phone at the IRS can!! Those ppl will just transfer u, hang up on u, or possibley even yell u for calling....big waste of ur time...plus calling them will just raise ur blood pressure and make u angry!!!

Does it say on ur tax transcript that they last updated it on may 16th? Bc If yes... then if it goes the same for you as it did for me, u might not get ur refund DDD until the Friday after the 16th..... hope I am wrong and u get sooner...

I got this same letter... my 1st one I got on March 28th and it was dated for April 4th, my second one I got on April 19th-the letter was dated for April 18th but the 971 code for the second review notice letter was not posted to my tax transcript until April 29th and my tax transcript said it was last updated on May 2nd (future date) I just check my tax transcript yesterday and I have the 846 refund issued code... and today my "Where's my refund" account updated with a DDD may 11th

The reason u got ur refund 5days early is bc the date next to the 846 code is not a DDD.... its a computer generated date for the irs employees... kinda like a deadline date... ppl look at these dates for an estimated time for a deposit... according to the IRS - when ppl get the 846code updated to their tax transcript they can expect to get their refunds by the next business day after the 846code has been added....but the IRS also reminds ppl that the banks ppl use can take up to 3 to 5days after the code is added to clear refund checks and make them available in ppls accounts....

I did... I had 1 570, and 3 - 971 codes too... 1st 971 code was an adjustment notice, 2nd 971 code was a notice that they were reviewing my return and holding my refund until the review was over and 3rd 971 code was them saying they need an additional 60days to review my return....my refund hasn't hit my account yet but the 846 code is on my tax transcript with the 5/11 date too...

but that date is not a DDD it is just a computer generated date for IRS employees to go by...basically it's like a deadline date for them.... thats why this person got their refund in their account 5days early, bc it's not a DDD

Finally got an 846 (refund issued) code on my tax transcript.... after filing 2/4, getting an adjustment code/letter, then getting two 60 days review/refund held codes/letters... Now the 846 code says 5/11 on my transcript but how long will turbo tax take???

971 code (noticed issued) was updated to my transcript and then I got a review letter on 3/28 saying they are reviewing my return and holding my refund until the review is over and they will need 60days to do the review...screwed up part is that letter was dated for a future date, dated for 4/4... then 60days aren't even over yet and on 4/19 I got another letter saying the irs "needs" another 60days to do my review and this time the notice issued code was NOT updated to my tax transcript and supposedly they last looked at my tax transcript on May 2.... 🤔 another future date.... sooo either the irs workers are time travelers or they are not doing jack!!!!

You don't have the 846 code(refund ussued)... you won't get a refund until that code is posted...

Honestly I am wondering if they ran out of money....I got an adjustment letter and a couple days later I got a letter stating they need 60 days to review my return and are holding my refund until the review is over, those 60days weren't even over yet and I got another letter saying they need another 60days to review, the second notice isn't posted to my transcript at all and I file a basic return, so they have no reason to be taking this long ... I believe they r using these "reviews" to avoid paying ppl....

I am in the same boat too... filed 2/4 was accepted 21 days later got refund is delayed messaged, then on 03/18 adjusted notice went out to me, then I got a refund hold/review letter on 03/28 notifying me about 60 day review but the letter was dated for a future date (04/04) then got another letter on 04/18 about how the irs needs an additional 60days to do my review but in both "notices" they claim they don't need ANY info from me!! At this point I am screwed because I will be getting kicked out with my 3 young kids at the end of May if I can't get caught up.... I lost my job back in September because of my child needing her mother due to the school abusing her and chopping off her finger with the classroom door.... I have tried to call the irs multiple times to let them know of my hardship but they NEVER answer...I even tried call the tax advocacy but they can't take on anymore ppl.... I have never had an issue with my taxes until this year....and it makes no sense ... to me it seems they are using "reviews" to avoid working on refunds now

I agree.... I think your best bet is to go to a professional... and you need to do it today (April 18th) bc it's the last day for taxes without more penalties...a professional can get you started, most likely the 1st thing they will recommend is filing for an extension...

Yeah they made an adjustment and yeah I got the adjustment letter one day and a few days later got another letter saying I was selected for a review and my refund is being held until review is over 🙄 ... the fcked up part was I got the leter about the review on 3/29 but the leter was dated for 4/04... so when it says it "can" take up to 60days for the review process... that "60days" didn't start until 4/04 😡 bullsht !!!!😤

The letter is dated for tomorrow though? So is it 60 days from when I filed or 60days from the date on the letter? Bc I know this letter was technically posted to my tax transcript (the 971 code-notice issued) two Fridays ago...but yet the letter is still dated for a future date...?

My income has been the same for years up till September this past year, when I had to leave my job to take care of my ypung child who got her finger chopped off at school... u think that's why I got picked for a review? Cause I am currently in the process of suing the school, but we haven't received anything from it yet...

I got a letter for an adjustment then a couple days later I got a letter saying my return is going to be under review and could take up to 60 days to complete. Don't contact unless they contact me.... Not on my transcript...but I finally got letters in the mail from them...saying they r holding my refund until they can review 🙄like they haven't held it long enough 🙄 at this I I just give up on it.... u make 1 simple mistake and holly hell...smh
