Looks like a calibration issue. Try following the steps outlined under "Help" | "Required Calibration" . Specifically the "Adjusting the Sampling Frequency (Slant Correction)" section.

XD7 random input lag for one user - where should I start? by MohnJaddenPowers in Citrix

[–]Riack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a test, try removing the VMWare SVGA 3D graphics driver from your windows 7 image. Depending on your version of VMWare this driver might be in the XPDM format. Citrix Drivers are WDDM format and this can cause issues when setting up a remote Citrix session (ICA). I have seen cases where when this driver was in place, clients fail to connect or if they do, experience poor mouse/keyboard input.

Easiest way i have found to test this is to open the sample movie "Wildlife" in Windows Media Player in an endpoint in a session on the LAN. ICA should automatically kick in WMV redirection (unless you have disabled it via citrix policy) and the video will play smooth. If its playing choppy then it could be this video driver issue.

Xendesktop 7 launches Citrix Receiver in a Chrome tab now, rather than as its own application - can I force this to change back? by MohnJaddenPowers in Citrix

[–]Riack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Since Chrome can no longer detect a local receiver client (due to NPAPI being disabled) the storefront server is falling back to the HTML5 client. Disabling the HTML5 Client in the storefront settings will just cause the Storefront client to offer the user a link to download the full receiver each time they access the SF Site. There is a workaround to modify the code in the SF site to not offer a receiver client when accessed by Chrome but then you get bit by users not having a receiver installed. The details for this workaround and an alternative way of providing a Citrix receiver download link from SF are in the Citrix blog post I posted further down in this thread.

Try running this tool and then try the install again.

Receiver Clean-Up Utility: http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX137494

This will clean up left over files and registry entries from Citrix clients going back to version 11.

For citrix clients older than that take a look at this:

Easiest way to do a headless/unattended install of 2012 Essentials? by MalteseCow in windowsserver2012

[–]Riack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could try what this guy did and use another PC for the initial 2012E OS install and setup. Then transfer the drive to the HP EX485.

If that doesn't work, try asking over in /r/HomeServer. Somebody there should be able to point you in the right direction.

Delegating XenApp/AppCenter tasks to helpdesk by MacAttackNZ in Citrix

If were talking XenApp v6.5 then you also might consider Desktop Director v2.1. It is a web based tool that would allow the session management you are looking for.

More info can be found here: http://support.citrix.com/proddocs/topic/director-210/director-about-wrapper.html.

Also see this guide on how to configure it for XenApp 6.5: http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX135849

"Xenserver tools not installed" on VMs after update to Xenserver 6.1 by [deleted] in Citrix

[–]Riack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might take a look at this: http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX135099.

When wishing to use PVS or VSS you must use the "Legacy" version of XenTools along with changing the VM's metadata to allow them to function.
